December 09, 2003 - Tecmo Japan revealed today preorder plans for the early 2004 Japanese releases of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive Online.
Those in Japan who preorder Ninja Gaiden will receive a figure of Ayane wearing a new costume. Those who preorder Dead or Alive Online will get a figure of Kasumi, also in a new costume. The preorder campaign kicks off on 12/11, with Ninja Gaiden arriving to Japan on 2/26/2004 and DOA Online arriving some time in March.
In addition to the figures, Tecmo plans on giving away the ultimate poster. How does plastering Kasumi in a Santa outfit onto your ceiling sound as a means of forgetting how lonely and pathetic you are? To commemorate the release of Dead or Alive 3 Platinum Version and Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball Platinum Version, the company will be giving away such a poster on a first come first serve basis to those who place their pre-orders for Ninja Gaiden and DOA Online.
If you think you're getting ripped off in America by not getting these items, don't. Tecmo is charging Japanese gamers premium for both games, with a 7800 yen price tag expected for Ninja Gaiden and a 8800 yen price tag for DOA Online.
