Review
Every one has heard of transformers at one time or another you probably even had one but there hasn’t really been a decent game made around the idea of transformers until now. Rage has excelled with this game. It has everything a good game should graphics, depth, sounds and most of its great fun. Gun Metal is certainly all of that and then some. You take on the role of Project Gun Metal you are a robot/transformer which has been designed to aid the forces of good defeat the forces of bad.

Gameplay:
You are the planets last hope you stand 30 feet tall and equipped with an arsenal of devastating weaponry, you command the Havoc battle machine that can transform into a fighter jet in your quest to liberate the planet of Helios.

You can tell a lot about the game just by watching the start up sequence you can usually tell whether its going to be a classic game that will go down in history or a total stinker and wasn’t worth your hard earned cash. This game has got to be a classic. The graphics and sound in the game are so good you forget your in your living room play and feel like your at the pictures watching the latest sci-fi block buster.

As you start the first level you are propelled straight into the action as you join the fight to save the planet of Helios. The controls of the game are incredibly easy to pick up and with the simple press of Y you transform into an amazing fast flying fighter jet this is where the fun really starts. Flying low to seek out new targets and as you lock on and fire four tomahawk missiles straight into it you hear the pleasing sound of a massive explosion as the enemy burns behind you.

The game features 25 different and varied missions and to encourage you to keep playing you get the added incentive of getting a new weapon on every other mission. The features lots of different picture perfect sceneries witch look like they have come from the front of a postcard.

Graphics:
Since the xbox launch every one has been commenting on the great graphics of xbox. All I can say is you ant seen nothing yet. Gun Metal is one of the most graphically pleasing games I have seen so far. The bodies of the character in Gun Metal are incredibly detailed. Apart from the immensely detailed characters there is also the incredibly detailed backdrops. Which look like they are taken out of a wild life documentary video they are so realistic. One of the things I found good when playing Gun metal was the way that if you accidentally rammed your jet into the ground it wouldn’t just bounce and be ok instead it would crash into the ground a take away half your life as well as making a field of dust.

Another one of the great features with the game like the dust effect hen you crashed was the way the trees could be demolished if you rammed into the hard enough. Something I thought was also good in the game was when you destroy a enemy vehicle it doesn’t slowly disappear instead it turns into a bowl of fire and then stays as a charred wreck until you have finished your level. This is also gives you a sense of fulfilment because you can fly over and see how many you have destroyed so far.

Sound:
Not many game out there take full advantage of the xbox`s sound capabilities but I think gun metal is one of the few games that does use the xbox`s sound to the max. This is one of the first action games for xbox I have seen that you can actually use your own music that’s on your hard drive in the game. This is good when you are bored of listening to the same built in songs. The game its self has lots and lots of sound effects and each different weapon you fire has a different sound to it.

Longevity:
Gun Metal is a great game and will certainly keep you going a while with its 25 levels but after that the game is over there isn’t any multiplayer parts to the game. The levels will keep you entertained though the missions are varied and are not particularly easy.

Round Up:
Gun Metal is a great game with a great story line brilliant graphics and tons and tons of sound effects. The is a whole arsenal of weapons for you to use and experiment with. The game has only one downside and that is it only has one mode. I would recommend this game to any one this is defiantly one for your to put on your buy list.

Pros:

Great Graphics!

Amazing Sound!

Its about Transformers

25 levels

Cons

No Multiplayer
Una pena el multiplayer :(

P.D: jejejejeje Has visto el Avatar?
