Revolution Launching in 2007
In Europe, anyway, according to MCV sources.

MCV is reporting that Nintendo's next-generation console is on track to launch in early 2007 in Europe. The trade site cites anonymous sources close to the company with the information.

Nintendo has publicly stated that at least where Japan and America are concerned, Revolution is scheduled for a broad "2006" launch. Company officials, however, would not offer any firm time frames when questioned on the subject at E3 2005.

In the past, Nintendo executives claimed that Revolution would debut before or at the same time as Sony's PlayStation 3. But shortly after Sony indicated that PS3 could debut as early as March 2006 in some regions, Nintendo changed its tune, stating instead that Revolution would simply launch in 2006. This seems to indicate that a later debut is likely.

"We're currently looking at mirroring the DS strategy, so Revolution would release in the US first in November, closely followed by Japan - then we're looking at March 2007 for PAL territories," said MCV's source.
