First what driver do you have installed? If you are like me you update your machine on a regular basis. If you dont, then dont worry just stay secured and virusfree. Some guy on the FarCry community board already worked out an solution for ATI users with a R2x0 chipset (8500-9200).
First you could try ATI Catalyst 4.3 driver and after that installed you need to create a file called systemcfgoverride.cfg and it should be placed in the installation directory of farcry. Three lines have to be in that file.
first line: e_overlay_geometry = "0"
second line: r_Quality_BumpMapping = "0"
third line: e_beach = "1"
Put the Water effects and Special Effects on Low.
Problem with getting kicked out of servers solved?
People with multiplayer issues like getting kicked out of multiplayer games should DELETE: -devmode after the shortcut. This should (could) fix the kickout problem. Oh, and make sure you only join servers with 1.2 patch installed!
