SMB (XBOX - Linux)

Hola a todos,

Estoy intentando usar linux (Ubuntu 5.10) en lugar de XP para mis carpetas compartidas, pero no funciona bien.

He compartido carpetas con videos mediante samba, puedo acceder a ellas desde mi XBOX pero los videos se entrecortan, creo que no es tan eficiente como las carpetas compartidas de XP.

¿Alguna solucion? ¿Algun parametro para Samba?

¿Alguien que lo tenga una red similar me puede dar una pista?

Hola, yo lo tengo con ubuntu 5.10 y a ella acceden 3 xbox al mismo tiempo y sin problemas, no se especifica un poco lo que has hecho y el tipo de hardware q tienes.

Son carpetas de unidades fat32 que tengo montadas en mi ubuntu y las
comparto con Samba.

Tengo una tarjeta de red 10/100 y estan (el PC y la X) conectados a un
switch 10/100

Para detallar mas el problema, acabo de ver una pelicula A perfectamente, sin parones ni nada. Le doy para ver otra pelicula B y ahora la cosa va lentisima. Reinicio la Xbox le doy a la pelicula B y ahora se ve bien. ein?

Quando tenia el montaje con Windows XP no me pasava y me daba la sensacion de que la cosa iva mas fluida.

edito: Igual me seria util si me pudieses mandar tu smb.conf, por si tengo algun parametro mal.

edito2: No me deja responder otra vez. Bueno, lo he solucionado cambiando mi tarjeta de red, tenia una Surecom y le he puesto una 3Com. Ahora va perfecto.
por favor, estoy con ubuntu haciendo mis pinitos pero me queda conectarme a la xbox, pero no se ni por donde empezar. s alquien puede ayudarme...podrias postear su smb.conf? o pasarmelo? orientativo....
En fin , cualquier ayuda será bien recibida....

Samba en Linux no te debería dar problemas ya que IRONICAMENTE funciona mejor el servidor samba con linux que con Win2.

Con el enlace que te ha indicado enciam no deberías tener problemas.

Yo lo uso con debian sarge y tampoco tengo ningún problema, ni entrecortes ni nada por el estilo.

Postea en cuanto puedas como te ha ido.
El XBMC no tenía soporte nativo NLS o NFS?
