STATiC CONSOLE team discovered how to use our modchip along with an Action Replay 2 to play ALL PS2 backups including import backups without any kind of patch or JAP style swap trick (The disc in this case is stopped and the eject is done manually without any force). Below are the step by step instructions on how this works. This version is for the PAL console;). The US version uses the Game Shark 2. For Static original .nfo release click here.

Requirements
The NEO PS2 Modchip. .
All backups must use high quality CDR Media (We Recommend Verbatim)
You must perform the POT adjustment to setup your laser for correct operation

Place the Action Replay 2 CD1 in the CD tray. Turn the power off so the red light shows on the reset button. Now press the reset button for 3-4 seconds. The disc will now boot.

Select START GAME

Select With Codes

Press the eject button and put your PS2 backup in the CD tray

Press the eject button again, then press X as soon as the tray closes (must be quick)

If the machine is setup correctly the game will boot with no problems. This HAS been tested with every PS2 release to date using no patches (with games that have been patched too)

If the game does not boot then the POT adjustment is not correct or the CD quality is not good enough. When we first installed this method NONE of our games worked. We then discovered the POT adjustment values and half the games would boot. We then re-burned the games that would not boot to Verbatim at 4x and they all went in perfectly. It does take a good half an hour to setup, but you only need to do it once - everything will work fine if the correct procedures are followed.
