Los miembros de GSC Game World tras meses intentando continuar el desarrollo de STALKER 2, finalmente han decidido crear un nuevo estudio,
Vostok Games y anunciar el desarrollo de un nuevo juego,
Survarium, que será un FPS Multijugador y Free2play en un ambiente post-apocaliptico donde la naturaleza ataca violentamente al ser humano por causas desconocidas. En principio se prevee la salida para finales de 2013.

Al haber fracasado las negociaciones, han decidido cambiar de proyecto. En el twitter oficial de la compañia ya se ha anunciado que esto significa que no habrá continuación de Stalker.

For all those asking about kickstarter and funding etc. That is not the issue. We secured new investors. We were however unable to secure the IP rights from the owwer to continue with the Stalker franchise.
It will be more than just MMO. It will also have the option of player vs the game world as in Stalker
