Old Flat Green Steam (OFGS) is a skin for the current version of Steam (the 2010 UI). It aims to re-create the default "Flat - Green" skin from the previous version of Steam. (Sometimes known as "Steam v3")

OFGS is not finished, but you can download and use it now while it is still under construction. Check back regularly, as I update it approx once a month.

OFGS 0.2.11 Alpha - 19th November 2010

This is an Alpha release, which means it is not finished and could be buggy, but if you have any problems just let me know and I will fix it.

0.2.9 Alpha
- Partial fix for changes made to chat windows in the latest Steam update.

0.2.8 Alpha
- Browser navigation bar formatted correctly, to look like old Steam.
- An item has been added to the "Help" menu. "'Old Flat Green Steam' Topic - Steam Forums" will opens this topic in your default browser, if you click on it.
0.2.7 Alpha
- More stuff done in friends/chat
- Friend name, status, and game are now correct size
- Dropdown button in Friends is now visible
- "Invite to Chat" doesn't magically grow now
- Download bar and status (eg, "1 item paused") moved to the right, so they don't get stuck behind the support button
Summary of major changes in 0.2.6 Alpha and older
- Added: "Small Mode"/"Large Mode" buttons to main Steam window / small mode window.
- Added: Large buttons to the bottom of the main Steam window.
- Added: Icons for Back/Forward/Refresh/Stop/Home in main Steam window.
- Styled: "Small Mode" window.
- Styled: Friends and Chat windows.
- Lots of bug fixes and improvements.

Install:
- Remove/Disable any other skin you are using
- Make sure Steam is set to use "<default skin>" in Steam>Settings>Interface
- You should also have "Enable DirectWrite" un-ticked in Steam>Settings>Interface
- Exit Steam
- Copy "resource" and "skins" from the ZIP file to your Steam folder. (Let it replace files)
- Start Steam
- Select "OFGS2" in Steam>Settings>Interface
- Let Steam Restart

Update
Already using an older version of Old Flat Green Steam? Here are instructions on how to update to the newest version, from whatever version you are currently using.
- 0.2.5 or newer: Exit Steam, copy "resource" and "skins" from the ZIP file to your Steam folder, and then Start Steam.
- 0.2.4 or older: Exit Steam, copy "resource" and "skins" from the ZIP file to your Steam folder, delete "OFGS 2" and "Old Flat Green Steam" from your skins folder (if they exist), Start Steam, select "OFGS2" in Steam>Settings>Interface, then let Steam Restart

Uninstall:
- Exit Steam
- In your Steam folder, delete "SteamUI.dll"
- In the Skins folder, delete "OFGS2". If you have used an older version, you may need to delete "OFGS 2" and "Old Flat Green Steam" too.
- Start Steam. (It will re-download the default skin)

Reporting Bugs:
- When reporting bugs, post screenshots if you can.
- It might also help if you can list your Operating System and the game you were running (if any) when you saw the bug.
- If you are on a Mac, make sure you let me know. Screenshots are also helpful.
- If you don't use English in Steam, please tell me what language you were using when you saw the bug.
- If you don't use English, but OFGS makes something appear in English instead of your language, please let me know.

Steam Bug

There is a bug in Steam that makes skins not work correctly. Old Flat Green Steam is affected by this problem. If you would like the bug to be fixed, please let Valve know in this topic about the bug.
