Programs included:
- PSPMenuEdit 0.2 by Loco
- MFAudio by Muzzleflash
- Font Converter by Skylark and Freeplay
- Batch file for the font converter by fyrehart
--------------------------
What is this?
This is a pack that will help you make your own custom themes using ThemePSP.
What's needed:
- A 1.5 PSP
- ThemePSP (currently v1.0)
- ThemePSP Creator Pack
- A computer with Windows
---------------------------------
REMEBER:
I DON'T TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOUR PSP.
---------------------------------
TIP:
If you are scared of flashing the files, download and install a fw emulator
(such as MPH Firmware Emulator 1.4) and replace the files in the firmware dump
with your own custom ones and see if it boots properly.
---------------------------------
NOTE: There is no 'must do' steps in this tutorial to make your theme work
(except the first one). If you just want to create a theme that only contains
a custom Background and Font it works as good as if you were creating a theme
that contains everything mentioned in this tutorial.
---------------------------------
Compulsory:
--
1. Start by enable USB on your PSP and then browse (on the PSP) to x:/PSP/GAME/.
2. Then copy over the ThemePSP and ThemePSP% folders (if you have already done this
you don't need to do this again).
3. Then broswse into x:/PSP/GAME/ThemePSP/ and then open the folder called "Themes".
4. Then Create a folder with a name of your choise (max 12 characters). I'll refer to this
as 'the folder you created on the psp' in the tutorial.
5. Now your set!
-----
Custom Background:
-----
A 1.5 PSP does automatically switch Background every month.
If you want, your theme can do that too. If you want that, then do like this:
1. Open up a image program of your choise (eg. paint, photoshop ect.)
2. Open or Create a new image and resize it to 250x142 pixels.
3. Name it 01 and save it as a 24-Bit .BMP image (01.BMP) in the folder you created on the psp.
(The Background must not be bigger than 150kb)
4. Then repeat step 2 and 3 but instead of saveing the images as 01.BMP, name the second one
to 02.BMP and the third one to 03.BMP. Do that untill you have 12 images (the last one should be 12.BMP)
5. You can now flash them to the PSP with ThemePSP.
If you just want one background that will never switch, do like this:
1. Repeat step 1 and 2 in the tutorial described above.
2. Save the image in the folder you created on the psp and name it to BG.BMP
(It must be 24-bit and max 150kb in size)
3. You can now flash it with ThemePSP.
-----
Custom Bootsound:
-----
I could create a tutorial in text here, but I think one with images will do it much better.
1. So; Follow the instructions here:
http://forums.qj.net/showpost.php?p=504032&postcount=17 (props goes to will1234 for the tutorial).
---NOTE: You don't need to download the programs since they are included in this package
---(see the BootSound folder).
2. When you have finished the tutorial, you should have a opening_plugin.rco
3. Copy the opening_plugin.rco to the folder you created on the PSP.
4. You can now flash it with ThemePSP.
-----
Custom Font:
-----
1. Dowload a .ttf font of your choise (you can get fonts at many sites eg.
http://www.dafont.com/)
2. Rename the font you downloaded to download.ttf and place it in the Font directory included
in ThemePSP Creator Pack.
3. Run the batch.bat file in the font directory. Then browse to the root of your harddrive (c:).
4. You should now have 15 files called ltn0.pgf - ltn15.pgf in that directory.
5. Copy _ALL_ of the 15 files to the folder you created on the psp.
6. You can now flash it with ThemePSP.
-----
Custom Menu Names:
-----
1. Make Sure your PSP have the language set to english.
2. Browse into the MenuNames folder included in ThemePSP Creator Pack.
3. Start up PSPMenuEdit and Select English as language.
4. The press the browse button (...) and select the topmenu_plugin.rco (located in the MenuNames folder aswell)
5. Edit all the menu names you want.
6. Press Patch file.
7. Then close PSPMenuEdit and copy the topmenu_plugin.rco file to the folder you created on the psp.
8. You can now flash it with ThemePSP.
-----
No wavy lines:
-----
1. If you don't want any wavy lines in your theme, just copy the system_plugin_bg.rco,
located in the WavyLines folder (included in ThemePSP Creator Pack), and drop it in
the folder you created on the psp
2. You can now flash it with ThemePSP.
-----
Music while flashing:
-----
1. Copy the mp3 file you want to hear when you flash the psp to the folder you created on the psp.
2. Rename it to music.mp3 (I don't recommend that the mp3 have a higher bitrate then 128kbps)
3. Done!
---------------
I have created Themes using this tutorial without problem. Just follow the instructions and I don't think
there will be any problems.
