Someone claims he has made the 360 run on an alternative bios. This is his quote from the Llamma forums:

"we have already done one at my shop and we plan on doing 7 more
so yes it is possible and i cannot say anymore at this time
but our chip is handmade and hass no special features (it is mostly a bank controler to switch to a rewritten bios bank)
i would wait for xecuter to make a chip rather than go crazy about ours"

No puede ser que ya hayan podido hacer eso , boto por FAKE.

sorry i am sick and tired of making those things we had to make EVERYTHING by hand and it is a complex process we punched out a laminated(sorry cant spell)card 1/16 inch thick and we hand soldered all the parts to that(over 15 componets and 50 joints includeing the wires) so we do not plan on making any more unless we can streamline the process with a jig or something(and my hands are covered with caluses and burns, cuts, punctures, and they are chapped and peeling)so i am done untill my hands heal and nest time (i was the only one with an iron dugan told me what to do and after 4 diffrent wersions and 6 crashed boxes we made it work then after that i had to make 6 carbon copies of that one (and the chip is just a ghetto bypass)
so i am sure you feel my pain (my fingertips hurt just typing this) anyway i still have our notes on somewhere in the store room when i find them i will draw up a wiring diagram
in the mean time i am still writing my page on all the mods we did(still no camera though Mad ) my hands hurt so i am done typing for tonight
but i do have more info and some questions i need answred about some things i saw
so stay tuned

Mas o menos viene a decir que tuvo que hacer una burrada de cambios y que se quemo o algo asi y que casi no puede ni escribir y que cuando tenga una camara ara fotos y que dibujara los esquemas para hacerlo y que ya hoy no posteaba mas porque le dolian los dedos de las quemaduras XD
Es un FAKE del calibre 5. Vamos, que han creado una BIOS en un par de dias en su tienda, asi como asi.

Juas, si hubieran dicho, hemos extraido la Key de una consola (... y describiendo el metodo) , seria mas creible, pero esto no cuela.
