IMPORTANT: This mod have a major flaw, unless you find an LCD display with zoom function, Game Gear games will not be show in full screen. Against Mater games System (converter) will be full screen.
So let's change the old display to a new one. First search a new LCD, like "LCD driver board 3.5" on ebay.
http://imgur.com/vfSFJ9BThere are two types of Game Gear boards, the first model with 2 C.I. (2 ASIC) and the new model 1 C.I. (1 ASIC)
The scheme to generate an RGB output 2 Asics is relatively simple, it is much more complex in the 1 Asics.
A little research on the net, there are 2 shops selling cards for RGB Game Gear:
Otaku -> an RGB output, and Megadrive controller output by Tim Projects -> An RGB, S-Video and composite video output..
For example, here's the map installation project Tim in Game Gear 1 ASIC.
The connection diagram card Tim-1 ASIC.

http://imgur.com/iiXKTavA small sample of the LCD(keep always with plastic to protect the screen)
http://imgur.com/NTFevXZRemove the protection plastic of the screen and install the LCD up with hot glue ( the fixing lugs of the former screen should be cut with pliers or with a dremel tool )
http://imgur.com/kL0pkM8We replace the motherboard, and the video converter is installed on a "bed" of hot glue .
