Capcom Announces Xbox 360 Monter Hunter Frontier Pricing
Monster Hunter Frontier hits Xbox 360 on the 24th. That's tomorrow! About time Capcom shared pricing details for the game, don't you think?
Actually, there isn't too much of a rush. Starting midnight tonight and running through 9:59 AM on July 7, the game will be in an open beta test. Anyone who buys the game will be able to input an included code to get free play access. You'll basically be getting the equivalent of the game's Hunters Life Course and Extra Course (detailed below) for free throughout the beta.
Capcom is also including a free "Hunters Life Course 30 Day" coupon with each copy of the game. This gives you 30 days free access to the game once the beta ends. You'll be able to register this coupon between June 30 at 14:00 and July 6 at 23:59. The 30 days will not take effect until after the beta period ends.
Starting July 28 at 14:00, players will be able to purchase the following play plans:
* MHF Hunters Life Course 30 Days: 930 Microsoft Points
* MHF Hunters Life Course 60 Days: 1770 MSP
* MHF Hunters Life Course 90 Days: 2520 MSP
* MHF Extra Course 30 Days: 400 MSP
* MHF Premium Course: 650 MSP
The Hunters Life Course is required for play. The Extra Course gives you additional services. The Premium Course gives you access to premium quests for 72 hours.
As previously announced, Capcom is including a free Extra Course 30 Days period for all players in order to make up for some of the initial pricing confusion. You'll automatically have free access to the Extra Course content through August 5 at 23:59. If you buy an additional MHF Extra Course 30 Days ticket during this time, it will not take effect until the free period ends.
From August 4 at 14:00, you'll also have access to the following:
* MHF Hunters Life Continued Course: ¥1,400 per month
* MHF Extra Continued Course: ¥600 per month
I'm not totally sure, but I think these last two are being offered for those who want to have their credit card be automatically billed for continued service.
Capcom will also offer optional services and item sales starting early September. These will be announced later.
Yes, this is all more confusing than a cell phone bill. But if you want to play Monster Hunter Frontier, get used to it!
