Mensaje muy importante de arnezami en xbox-scene:
The purpose of releasing this now is that hopefully everybody will understand that when you upgrade to the next update (the big "fall update") it is probably going to end all hope of ever downgrading and running homebrew/linux. But if you don't there may be ways to still do what you want.
Downgrading will almost certainly always require soldering. Although I suspect chips will come out to make it doable by many people. But soldering never the less. (but its a one-time event and the hardware needed can be shared). The xbox 360 is a fortress when it comes to security. Finding a way to downgrade has been incredibly challenging and I am quite certain (I have looked at the bootloaders endlessly) no other way will be found in at least the next year or two, if ever.
But again: please don't upgrade. Thats my main message. We are working very hard. But very likely if you upgrade to the upcoming fall upgrade we can't help you anymore. Game over.
Anyway its good news there is progress wink.gif.

arnezami
@acsutton: if you have a theory you might wanna try posting it on XBH in the general hacking forums (not in the technical ones) and decribe it in as much detail as you can. Keep in mind though that the 360 is not vurnable to overflows so its probably not going to work. Still it won't hurt to post it though.
