Development Update

Well, those of you who didn't visit #xbplayer today missed out on some news. It looks like B6 is coming in about 2 weeks.

So, what have we accomplished and what's still not done? Well, I'll try my best to list everything.

Completed

Remote Control
Divx 5.0 support (including 5.0 Pro)
Xvid color bug
Anamorphic aspect ratio (16:9)
Static IP support
Better network configuration
Linear buffering code (for cd-rw/dvd-r playback)
New mmx/sse optimized motion compensation routines.

I think there's more that RUNTiME's done but I can't think of them right now.

AVI Preemphasis. (AVI with an encoded silence)

AC3 digital output
Mpeg2 (SVCD) support

The AVI Preemphasis is almost done. This will correct some minor sync problems. With the current state of the code, mpeg2 decoding will be really easy to drop in. I've already done some research on the AC3 stuff.

So thats where things are at. This release probably won't be as overwhelmingly better as B5 was but it'll have a lot of nice new features.
