Okay, here's a progress report:
Text Decryption - 100%
Image Decryption - 100%
Re-encoding Text methods - 60%
(subtitles, dialogue, item text, menu text, files, others)

(GUI, fonts?, etc.)

Inputting Translations - 0%
We can now almost completely change the Japanese font within the bounds of the current font. We can control the amount of characters, the length of the strings, the characters displayed, etc... We currently are working around issues of size limitations, and have still not yet figured out how to change the number of lines.
In the past few days, Chiba has been working on the font image encoding, and we should get a re-encoding script soon (re-encoding is all that's left).
Mr.Mongoose has found a method to accurately and easily decode all the text, and is trying to weasel out the overarching file structure.
I've been determining header information for various file types, and testing and refining the text swapping for Japanese characters, injecting them into a running game.
