Announced last fall, Koei Tecmo has now opened the official website for Toukiden: The Age of Demons 2. We get so see the first in-game screenshots as well as some artwork and character bios.
Toukiden 2 uses a fully open-world game structure with a variety of locales - the starting village acting as a home base. Demon part destruction returns from the first game, where the player can target particular enemy body parts. This can affect the attack behavior of the demon and presumably be useful in creating new equipment.
Some of the game's characters have also been detailed. Doctor Hakase is a researcher/engineer who works with special devices. She created an automated puppet, Tokistu, who uses a rifle like his creator. Gwen is a British girl who made her way into the Slayer ranks - she uses a sword and shield.

Bandai Namco has trademarked “LostBorders” (alternate link), the subtitle to the its Japanese branch’s Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, in Europe.
The company currently has not announced plans to localize Summon Night 6 for western territories, but the trademark could suggest it’s in the cards. But don’t get your hopes up too much. The subtitle for God Eater 2: Rage Burst was trademarked by Bandai Namco in January, but a localization is still unannounced.
Summon Night 6: Lost Borders is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan in spring 2016. If you missed it, catch the teaser trailer here.
Update 10/08/15: The trademark was also filed in the U.S..

Following a leak in April last year, Kalypso Media has confirmed its bringing Realmforge Studios’ Dungeons 2 to PlayStation 4 as a console exclusive on April 26 in North America and April 22 in Europe.
The PlayStation 4 version will include the original game and ‘A Chance of Dragons,’ ‘A Song of Sand and Fire,’ and ‘A Clash of Pumpkins’ downloadable content available right from the start, as well as the ‘Morningwood’ and ‘Pixie Village’ maps. Each add-on adds three unique skirmish maps.
Here’s the full rundown, via the PlayStation Blog:
What It’s About
Dungeons 2 isn’t about being a nice guy. It’s about becoming a Dungeon Lord so evil that goodness quakes in its boots. The campaign begins with the Dungeon Lord cursed into a half-life between this world and the next and bonded to his throne. Luckily, one can’t keep evil down forever!
With the ethereal “Hand of Terror,” you take direct control over your fledgling army of worker Snots as you begin to restore your evil dominance. Building out your dungeon, you will gain experience and gather gold, allowing you to enlist more and stronger creatures to do your bidding. Soon, your range of minions will expand to include beer-drinking Orcs, Goblin assassins, and boulder-throwing Trolls.
Eventually you will send your army of destruction to the ready-to-be-conquered Overworld. This is where Dungeons 2 switches from dungeon management to traditional RTS gameplay. Managing dungeons while restoring evil across the land are two fulltime jobs, and a successful Dungeon Lord needs to find the perfect balance between underground dungeon management and aboveground RTS.
The Dungeon Lord does have a lot of skills and utilities to ensure a proper working dungeon. Multiple types of rooms can be built to keep the gold and supplies flowing. Naga can mine mana to craft defensive and offensive spells, whereas Goblins are pretty crafty and can build brutal dungeon traps for when bold humans enter looking for gold and glory. Nothing says “keep out” like an exploding treasure chest to the face.
What You Can Expect
At its core, Dungeons 2 takes the best influences of the dungeon management genre and blends them together for the ultimate dungeon sim experience. Yet on top of that we decided to go beyond the dungeon and incorporate the Overworld, where you command your forces in RTS fashion. Both the RTS and the dungeon sim elements are happening in real time so a perfect Dungeon Lord must be skilled in balancing between expanding their dungeon and controlling their Overworld forces.
It isn’t easy and it may take a few tries to find your rhythm, but once you do, you’ll enjoy the sweet, sweet taste of evil triumphing over good and the sight of the goody-good lands of the alliance switching from lush green fields to dark swamps of terror. And once you have recovered to full vicious strength by completing the extensive campaign, prepare to battle other Dungeon Lords in multiplayer!
Compile Heart has updated the official website for Black Rose Valkyrie, its newly announced PlayStation 4 RPG featuring character design by Kosuke Fujishima and a scenario by Takumi Miyajima, with a character trailer.
Here’s an overview of the game’s story, via Weekly Famitsu No. 1418:
1818. A huge meteorite fell to earth.
An unknown virus was discovered from the meteorite, which was given the nickname “Black Garnet.” In exchange for giving the infected enhanced intelligence and might above that of a human being, it eats into their minds and flesh, and before long turns them into an inhuman “Chimera.” This virus, [which broke out in 1929] and was named the “Chimera Virus,” caused a global pandemic and three percent of humanity’s total population was lost.
In this state of crisis, the country chose a plan of “national isolation,” and blocked the virus’ entry from the outside. The “Special Force Valkyrie” was formed within the Secret Military Agency ACID (Anti Chimera Intercept Division) organized to counter the pressing threat.
“Asahi Shiramine” was chosen as the commanding officer of the newly established Special Force Valkyrie. On his way to the base, Asashi successfully pushed back a Chimera assault with the help of his group members that rushed to the scene, proving his usefulness to the force in his first battle. It was a heated victory for Asahi and company. However, a harsh fate awaits him ahead of his victory, one that Asahi and company would not yet have known at that time…
Here’s the information published on the official website:
Setting
In 1929, a mysterious phenomenon suddenly occurred that changed a great number of humans into inhuman “Chimera.”
The cause was a meteor that fell in the past, given the name “Black Garnet,” which brought an unknown virus.
The “Chimera Virus,” as it was named, caused a global pandemic, and the human race lost three percent of its total population.
Japan responded to this state of emergency by invoking a policy of “national isolation” to block the virus from entering from the outside. Additionally, in order to intercept the Chimera that remain within the country, the Secret Military Agency ACID (Anti Chimera Intercept Division) was formed.
Time moved on, and in order to exterminate the Chimera that threaten its people now, the Secret Military Agency ACID formed the Special Force Valkyrie.
Chimera Virus
A “Chimera” is a person or animal that has become a monster through a gene reconstruction caused by the unknown virus named the “Chimera Virus.”
The Chimera Virus gives the infected enhanced intelligence and might above that of a human being, but on the other hand eats into their minds and flesh, and before long turns them into an inhuman Chimera.
Chimera attack people and infect them with the virus from wounds, thus creating one new Chimera after the other.
Those that are infected with the virus and may become a Chimera are known as the “Chimera Reserves.”
Valkyrie
Valkyrie is the code-name for the anti-Chimera weapons “T-C-S.”
Given that only those selected to the system can handle the weapons, they were given the code-name “Valkyrie.”
As it’s a mass of steel, ordinary people cannot wield T-C-S, but the authentication apparatus and medication from the Valkyrie enhances the body, making the weapons possible to handle.
However, the medication is reinforcement medicine with strong side effects, and other than those selected to the system, the medicine would be rejected by the organs and cause the body and mind to collapse, and the personality to split.
Black Rose Valkyrie is due out for PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2016.

Five-man studio Grimm Bros. recently updated the Windows version of its tactical-action RPG Dragon Fin Soup, which prompted people playing the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita versions to ask if they would be get an update soon.
In response to the Kickstarter backers asking this, Grimm Bros. explained that fixing it isn’t as easy as it would like, largely due to the porting studio BlitWorks having full control of the PlayStation versions.
Here’s what the studio wrote out in response:
“We understand the frustration and believe me when i say that we are a lot more frustrated about the matter than anyone else but as we had explained before things are not as simple as you put it.
First of all, even without the PS+ deal, the deal with sony always was that the game cannot be released for any other platform before the PS platform, ergo we did a sim launch.
Secondly, developers don’t choose when they release the game on PS+, games are being selected and once a deal and a deadline is in place it cannot be changed or postponed.
Of course we would love to address all PSN related issues but again, as we have explained multiple times, a different studio ported the title and did the submission and they have dropped the ball.
We cannot go into detail but lots of the issues, such as the one you named are the result of their port and our QA got the hands on the game only days before submission.
It is a complicated situation.
We do not have access to the PS source code, we cannot debug or fix those issues and are completely reliant on the porting studio Blit Works.
In our own best interest the PS platforms ideally would be patched ASAP, it’s not like we are too lazy to do so or don’t care, it hurts te sales and our rep but not everything is in our control in regards to this matter.
Lack of support for PS platforms is in no way a result of our efforts in supporting the game on Steam as we by our-self simply cannot do any work on the PS platforms.”
BlitWorks hasn’t yet said anything publicly about updating the PlayStation versions of Dragon Fin Soup.
The game is also supposed to be coming to Mac, Linux, Xbox One, iOS, and Android at some point.
