First of all, I know it´s not your fault ´cause you don´t develop new drivers, but it´s a bit enervating that having paid a fortune when I bought the 7990, I have never been able to enjoy it, having to deactivate crossfire in many games because it is not supported or doesn´t work properly or microstuttering makes it impossible to play. But how on earth is it going to be supported if amd releases drivers twice a year? Latest drivers where from april. 6 months later new ones arrive and surprisingly, all improvements go to 290 series, leaving 7000 series aside.
One example: Watch Dogs. Since it was release xfire has been working in composite mode (this being said by amd itself) in 7000 series or 280X cards. Beta after beta this issue has not been fixed (release notes mentioned it) and nowadays keeps unfixed. And don´t tell me that it´s a nvidia sponsored game, cause when tomb raider was released (an amd gaming evolve game) it took less than a week for nvidia to release beta drivers which improved performance issues involving tressfx and more. That´s the difference between a good company and bad company that only cares for clients money, and once they have got it, forget about the costumer.
I made a high bet for amd, purchasing their best (expensive) card a year and a half ago, guess I made the wrong choice. But don´t worry: fool me once, same on you. Fool me twice, same on me. It´s a mistake I´m not making ever again.
