Yakuza 0’s Game Center has Space Harrier, Phantasy Zone, and other Sega classicsThe Yakuza series’ familiar “Play Spots,” where players can participate in various side activities, will return in Yakuza 0, this week’s Famitsu reveals.
At the “Game Center,” players will be able to play Sega arcade classics Space Harrier, Outrun, Phantasy Zone, and Super Hang-On.
Similar to Yakuza: Ishin, these mini-games will also be playable on PS Vita via a corresponding app. A PS Vita-exclusive “Pachislot” mini-game is also playable.
Other mini-games include “Cat Fight Gambling Den,” “Telephone Club,” “Disco,’ “Pocket Circuit,” “Casino Blackjack,” “Gambling Den Ceel-lo,” the “Batting Center,” “Karaoke,” and the “Arena.” Money earned playing these mini-games can be used in the main story.
There are no experience points in Yakuza 0. Instead, players can strengthen their characters using money. Another way to get money is by performing flashy take down attacks during battle. Kazuma and Majima also have exclusive systems to earn extra cash:
- “Kamurocho Money Island” – Kazuma’s system. Players will use their money and personal connections to obtain shops and businesses, and can earn a large sum by increasing income properties. If you make use of the people you meet through sub-stories, it’s possible to control Kamurocho’s public order and business conditions.
- “Soutenbori Nightlife Trade Island” – Majima’s system. The goal is to be the number one cabaret club in the region. With 30 hostesses, players will be able to bring up a group of women with rich personalities.
Yakuza 0 is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS3 in Japan during spring 2015.
