Yakuza 6: The Song of Life launches March 20 in the Americas and Europe
Kazuma Kiryu's saga comes to an end in late March.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will launch physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 in the Americas and Europe on March 20, 2018, Sega announced. It will cost $59.99 / CA$79.99 in the Americas, £49.99 in the United Kingdom, €59.99 in the rest of Europe, and A$89.99 in Australia.
Pre-orders and launch copies of the standard edition will include a hardcover art book that doubles as the disc holder.
An “After Hours Premium Edition” will be also available in all regions for $89.99 / CA$119.99 / £79.99 / €89.99 / A$129.99.
It will include:
* Hardcover Art Book – The intense human drama and magnetic world of Yakuza 6 will be on display in this stunning art book. We’ll have more details on what will fill the pages at a later date.
* 2 Bar Glasses (280ml) – Designed with Kiryu’s ferocious dragon tattoo, these bar glasses are the perfect receptacles for your beverage of choice.
* 2 Ice Stones – Cool down your drinks with a pair of heat action branded ice stones! One features the flame heat action icon, while the other has the Japanese “kiwami” heat action icon. Chilling has never been so… extreme.
* 2 Coasters – A true yakuza knows how to relax with class, so coasters are a must have when lounging after hours. Protect table surfaces with style by placing your glasses on top of official Tojo Clan branded coasters. Plus, you won’t need to play the “is this my drink?” game because of their inverted colors!
* An Outer Box – All of these essential tools will be housed within a collectible outer box.
Here’s an overview of the game, via Sega:About
In Yakuza 6, Kazuma Kiryu will find out exactly how much people are willing to sacrifice for family – be those ties through blood or bond – when he investigates a series of shadowy events that involve the ones he holds closest to his heart. Fresh out of a three-year prison sentence, an older and weathered Kiryu comes to find out that his surrogate daughter, Haruka, has gone missing from the orphanage he looks after. The trail leads him to his old stomping grounds in Kamurocho, where he discovers that she has been struck by a car and now lies in a coma. To make matters worse, Kiryu learns that Haruka now has a son that he must look after. With baby in hand, Kiryu journeys to the seaside town of Onomichi, Hiroshima to unravel the truth about Haruka, her son, and a sinister secret that the Hiroshima yakuza are harboring.
From the unparalleled realism of the new setting of Onomichi, a beautiful, sleepy port town in Hiroshima Prefecture, to the latest evolution of Kamurocho, the biggest red-light district in Tokyo, Yakuza 6 is the ultimate iteration the game’s blend of gritty crime story, hyper-explosive combat, and all the vices and distractions those locales have to offer.
Key Features
* Enter the “Dragon Engine” – Explore the world of Yakuza like never before. Yakuza 6 is the first current-gen Yakuza title that was developed from the ground up for the PlayStation 4, introducing the seedy Japanese underworld with detailed visuals, lifelike animations, a new physics engine, interactive storefronts, seamless transitions and more. That’s right! Fights can start on the streets and end in a pile of shattered glass, scattered snacks, and bruised bodies on the floor of the nearest Poppo convenience store.
* Explore Kamurocho Reborn and the Scenic Views of Onomichi – Speaking of Dragon Engine, the hypnotic lights, opportunistic inhabitants, and hedonistic distractions of Kamurocho look better than ever. Revamped minigames like karaoke, batting cages, darts, hostesses, and the SEGA arcade have been streamlined for maximum pleasure, and new additions like the RIZAP Gym, Cat Café, and Clan Creator are the purrfect distractions after a long night of bashing heads! But it’s also time to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to play tourist in beautiful Onomichi. This tranquil coastal community is home to plenty of local activities like bar mingling, spearfishing (think action-packed rail shooter … with fish), and more!
* Let the Bodies Hit the Floor – Yakuza 6 Kiryu is a 100% certified thugfed OG, so that means he’s a battle-hardened veteran when it comes to the art of street fighting. Although he utilizes one fighting style this time around, you best believe Kiryu hits like a truck. Devastating combos and bone-breaking Heat Actions make a return, but now the Dragon of Dojima can fill up a meter to engage Extreme Heat Mode. When activated, Kiryu glows blue and unleashes heavy-damage combos with his fists or any “tool” that’s close at hand. Painting painful masterpieces has never felt so good.
* Fully Voiced Japanese Audio – For the first time in series history, every line and piece of dialogue is fully voiced in Japanese. Let the dramatic story and absurd humor of the series unfold like an interactive foreign film experience.

Del 6 he visto algún video y luce espectacular.
Gracias!

Yakuza 5 eran 4 ciudades si no recuerdo mal,

Corregidme si me equivoco.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Officially Announced for PS4 With First Trailers; Goro Majima Will Be Playable
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is now official, and you can see the full Yakuza 2 remake for PS4 in action in the first trailers.
Today Sega hosted a reveal event at the Akihabara UDX Theater in Tokyo, and Yakuza series Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi officially announced Yakuza Kiwami 2.
The game was actually leaked on the Taiwanese PlayStation Store a few days ago, but today we get the actual confirmation.
Similiar to Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of the old and glorious Yakuza 2 released for PS2 in Japan in 2006 (and in 2008 in the west). It will release in Japan and Asia for PS4 on December 7th, 2017.
Visuals will be fully overhauled using the latest version of the Dragon Engine that powers Yakuza 6, and the game will also include updates to the story, audio and activities available. A relevant addition is that fan-favorite character Goro Majima will be playable in his own new scenario.
Incidentally, we also heard that the game will be playable at Tokyo Game Show.
Below you can check out the first two trailers, one for the announcement itself and an extended video giving us a better look on characters and story.
We also get to see a few images showcasing the improved visuals, and introducing some of the actors playing a few of the relevant characters in the game. The official key art can also be seen in the gallery at the bottom of the post.
On top of this announcement, Sega also revealed the future of the Yakuza series (split in two games, Yakuza Online and Shin Yakuza), and Hokuto Ga Gotoku, based on the Fist of the North Star manga and anime series.

Yakuza Online and New Yakuza Sequel Announced With First Trailers; New Hero Revealed
Sega announces the sequel of the Yakuza series, which will span Yakuza Online and a mysterious "Shin Yakuza" game featuring a brand new hero.
Today Sega hosted a reveal event at the Akihabara UDX Theater in Tokyo, and Yakuza series Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi revealed the future of the Yakuza series, a new console game code named “Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku” (New Yakuza) and “Ryu Ga Gotoku Online” (Yakuza Online).
Both games will continue the story of the series after the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and will feature a new hero: 40 years old Kasuga Ichiban, played by Kazuhiro Nakatani (who is well known to Yakuza fans for playing Akira Nishikiyama).
Shin Yakuza will be a console project with no specific information revealed for now (including which specific consoles will get the game), while Yakuza Online will launch for PC, iOS and Android in 2018, and it will be free to play with optional purchases.
Kamurocho has been traditionally ruled by the Tojo Clan, but in 2018 a conspiracy by the Omi Alliance and the police wrestled control away from the former occupants. The district became strictly controlled bot in the “front” and in the “back,” and lost its former luster, heading towards a gradual decline.
In the meantime, a pure-hearted man born and raised in Kamurocho, stands up aiming to regain control of the old city. First of all, he will need to work with his companion to stand up against giants, and a mysterious conspiracy.
That man is Kasuga Ichiban, former lieutenant of the Arakawa family of the Toko Clan. He never knew his parents, and joined the Arakawa family to follow a man who saved him when he was adolescent. In 2001, he took responsibility for a crime committed by the young head of the family, and spent seventeen years in prison. Yet, when he returned in 2018, he found a changed city, his old companions disgraced, and an unbelievable betrayal.
You can check out the trailer introducing Kasuga Ichiban below, alongside a video of the story prologue the new games, and a comparison of the rendition of Kasuga Ichiban in Shin Yakuza and in Yakuza Online.
This isn’t the only announcement made today, as Sega also announced a remake of Yakuza 2, aptly titled Yakuza Kiwami 2, and a Fist of the North Star Game titled “Hokuto Ga Gotoku.”

Fist of the North Star Game “Hokuto Ga Gotoku” Announced for PS4 by Yakuza Studio
The studio behind the Yakuza series will release a PS4 game based on the Fist of the North Star manga and anime franchise, titled Hokuto Ga Gotoku.
Today Sega hosted a reveal event at the Akihabara UDX Theater in Tokyo, and Yakuza series Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi announced a rather large surprise, Hokuto Ga Gotoku, based on the popular manga and anime Fist of the North Star (Hokuto No Ken)
The game features an original story within the Fist of the North Star universe. The battle system will be similar to the Yakuza series, but adapted to the setting. The many minigames that are familiar to Yakuza fans will also be included.
As a further similarity, Kenshiro will be voiced by Kazuma Kiryu’s voice actor Takaya Kuroda. The title itself is also an obvious reminder of what studio is creating the title, since the Japanese name of the Yakuza series is Ryu Ga Gotoku.
That being said, Nagoshi-san clarified that it’s not a copy-paste of the Yakuza series, and there will be plenty of elements better fitting the Hokuto no Ken IP. The story is described as follows:
“Nuclear war almost annihilated every living being, but humanity has survived. In an era in which civilization has been destroyed and nothing is created anymore, strong men struggle to conquer what little food and resources are left. It was a world dominated by violence. Yet, in a corner of that world, there was a place called “the city of miracles,” a city named “Eden.”
Eden receives energy and water from a giant dome-shaped relic of the old world named “Sphere City,” and there is even an entertainment district. Citizen lived a comfortable life that others in this era can’t even imagine.
One day a man named Kenshiro reaches Eden at the end of his wanderings. He was the master of the fist of Hokuto, an ancient assassination art. The heart of this man, thought invincible, was instead filled with despair. His only hope was a rumor indicating that his long lost fiancee Yuria that he thought dead, was instead alive and in Eden.
However, Eden is closed to outsider, and the gates block Kenshiro’s way. What will he have to do to enter Eden? And what destiny awaits in his pursuit of Yuria?
Kenshiro is a man who follows his love in a mysterious city, caught in the river of fate. A new legend of the savior begins.”
The game will release in Japan in 2018 for PS4, and more information has been promised for Tokyo Game Show.
You can check out the announcement trailer (linked to the reveal of the new Yakuza hero Kasuga Ichiban) and a longer story trailer below, alongside the first screenshots and art.
Today Sega also announced the future of the Yakuza series (split in two games, Yakuza Online and Shin Yakuza), and officially revealed Yakuza Kiwami 2.
