The problems are accompanied by the 8001050F error code.

When they try to load up certain games — including the just-released Heavy Rain — they receive the error code and the following message: “Registration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will now quit.” After the message, the system reboots. The problems seem to mostly affect older, “fat” models of the PS3. Slim models are either not impacted or affected far less frequently.

Trophies are prizes given to players for accomplishing certain tasks in each game; the trophies are synced with the PlayStation Network so players can compare their achievements. Gaming blog Joystiq found reports that the consoles were having their dates reset to 12/31/1999; that might somehow be related to the trophy syncing problems.

Once reports of the problems started to appear, Sony tweeted: “We’re aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we’re looking into it. Stay tuned for updates.” That’s all we’ve heard from them so far. There’s no solution just yet; even disconnecting your console from the Internet doesn’t help. Hay alguien con PS3 de 80 GB que no le funcione correctamente? porque parece ser segun leo en otros foros tambien, que este problema no aparece en modelos de 80 Gb tampoco.

El problema es que la cuenta esta conectada en 5 plays y una de ellas la tiene sony por que estaba rota y me envio otra... como con el singstar si que te lo hacen pense que llamando me desconectarian la cuenta...

Here's what's going on right now: something with the PS3's internal clock has borked in some pre-slim models. This is not a PSN issue; it has to do with your PS3's clock. This clock is NOT related to the OS clock. It seems to be a leap year bug. Setting your clock ahead will do nothing. All PS3s around the world were affected at the exact same time.

Does this affect me?

-If you have a Slim PS3, you're good to go. Continue playing it as normal.
-If you have a "fat" PS3, you may be affected. Some fat PS3s have worked ok, but it seems a good majority have been bugged.

What does this bug mean?

-If affected, your date and time has been set to a random past date. This prevents you from signing into PSN, playing any PSN games, or using any DLC. Your trophies will also not display correctly or be able to sync.

How do I fix it?

-You can't. Even if you don't sign into PSN, it won't help. This is a hardware issue.

So, what do I do?

-Wait 24 hours. Other products that have had similar bugs have corrected themselves after the "bugged" day. On Monday around 6pm central time, all PS3s will automatically correct themselves...maybe.

-If that doesn't work, we'll need a firmware update from Sony, which should be a pretty important priority for them right now.

Did I lose my data/themes/etc?

Your save data/games/dlc/themes are fine. They'll be fixed when the PS3 is fixed. Trophies are uncertain right now, but they'll be fine if you've synced them before the PS3 was bugged. Unsynced trophies are an unknown right now.

para esperar me he decidido a ponerme a jugar a juegos de ps1 komo el ctr k me descargue de la store y le doy y me ponee: la imformacion de proteccion de copyright no es valida. error(80029513) a vosotros os pasa igual? xD

la tecnologia esta avanzando mucho ,pero a la vez se atrasa mucho mas mas fallos mas problemas y los perjudicados los consumidores,
ejemplos:
ahora los coches vienen con casi todo o todo electronico , y cualquier fallo se te para el coche y te cuesta cualquier averia un paston ya que tiene que ser en la casa oficial , antes un seat panda duraba años y años y eran durisimos muy corrientes pero muy buenos

antes los videojuegos acababan quemados de tantas horas y horas jugando y disfrutando de ellos , ahora un fallo como este de hoy y al carajo la consola

y asi montones de ejemplos que podemos ver y darnos cuenta que todo es un fraude por parte de las grandes empresas

Apparently, PSN has taken a sudden left turn to crapsville. It could be PSN or it could be a firmware problem. People are being kicked from playing certain games to their XMB (Heavy Rain, for example), the date and time are displaying as 12/31/1999 (Y2K10?), and some trophy data has also been disappearing. The error code in question is 8001050F. If you're concerned about losing your trophy progress, don't play a game with trophies. Go and do something else until the smoke clears from this and the problems are solved.

The only official word we have from Sony is from the PS Blog's Twitter page:

"We're aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we're looking into it. Stay tuned for updates."

We'll keep you as updated as we can here, but we're scrambling for facts right now.

Update (8:43 PM PST): Sony just made a couple of tweets. They are posted below.

La consola no peta, entra en el xmb sin problemas, pero no te deja jugar a juegos con trofeos ni a juegos descargados del psn.

Joder...por otras razones yo no he jugado a la play desde hace días, tuve bastante suerte. Igualmente yo tengo la de 80 GB, por lo que parece éste modelo no está dando problemas. Pero por las dudas no me animo a encenderla hasta que sony lance un comunicado público de que todo se ha solucionado.
