"Microsoft's lowered projections for the Xbox have negatively impacted one of their biggest technology partners, Nvidia. The revised shipment targets were announced following Microsoft's decision to drop the price of the console in Europe by more than 35 percent. As a result of the changes, Brokerage Credit Suisse First Boston lowered its fiscal 2003 estimates for Nvidia, cutting its revenue estimate for the year to .6 billion from .7 billion. For reference, Nvidia provides key components for the Xbox console including the graphics processor."
