Re: samsung LE40R73BD ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have this model tv and am very very happy with it.
Sd programs are generally very good, HD is stunning, DVD through RGB Scart is very good, xbox 360 through component is amazing quality + the TV looks Great even with it switched off.
DOWNSIDE
Only 1 HDMI & sound is not the best, but IMO theres no point buying a TV this nice and not having a 5.1 setup to go with it.
1.) Component quality is very good, especially on 720p (1080i seems to have a bit of ghosting)
2.) VGA pixels are sooooooooooooo good on the PC (my Bravia used to have blurry text-edges)
3.) SD broadcast quality is OK, nothing special, unless you probably have a Dish
4.) Menus are very easy to use and quite fast responses
5.) Very nice-looking black/grey remote, compared to my old Bravia and other TVs that look like its made out of cheap grey plastic
6.) Very nice solid build, completely black gloss finish (dont believe in people that say its annoying when it reflects a lot of light into your eyes, because it doesnt!)
*This compliments for this TV were compared against:
LG 37PC1DA LCD = Very good on HD material via HDMI, washed out quality everywhere else
Pioneer Plasma PDP4270XD = Absolutely stunning picture quality on component, no VGA, and wavy grains on static frames (i.e. xbox 360 menu)
Samsung LE46N73BD = Very good quality aside from SD and 1080p capabilities, twin HDMIs, massive price difference between this and the R73 (£500!)
LORDD la calidad de las conexiones parecen que les ha gustado a los del foro "avforum"
