Plug in external storage to a USB port.
Go to Settings
Select System
Select Storage (In the storage Device scene, you will see an “Unformatted” button)

Follow the steps to format
Now that you have external storage, try copying and downloading items to the device. You will be able to play games directly of the external drive. Also try other media types; such as video, music and pictures.
Forgot Password:
Forgetting your password is a common problem, now you have the ability to reset your password directly on your Xbox 360.
Sign all users out
Select Download Profile
Select Forgot Password (This will launch Internet Explorer. If you don’t have Internet Explorer it will automatically download for you.)
Follow the prompts to reset your password
For this feature we would really like you to delete Internet Explorer from your Xbox 360 and go through the flow, even if you don’t finish the password reset.
Network Troubleshooter:
Check out the new network statistics feature. You have the ability to see upload speed, download speed, latency, and packet loss.
Go to Settings
Select System
Select Network Settings
Select your network
Select Network Statistics
Purchase History:
With the new Purchase history feature you can see a list of all recent purchases made from your account.
Go to Settings twist on the dashboard
Select Account
Select Purchase history
Here you will be able to see a list of the most recent purchases made from your account. If you don’t have Internet Explorer, this will automatically download it for you.

Fix for Network Troubleshooter Stability and Accuracy: The accuracy of the Network statistics has been improved, as well as stability of the Troublehsooter.
Fix for viewing media files on a hard drive: Hard Drives formatted for storage prior to this update will show an inactionable "Content" folder when viewing PC partitions for media files. HDDs formatted after taking the 17348 update will have this folder hidden. To hide this folder on an existing drive, you may reformat after tkaing this update, or connect it to a Windows PC and hide the folder in File Explorer.

If you do not have an internal hard drive or memory unit for your Xbox 360, you may not be able to connect to Live using just external storage – please do not format your existing external storage devices at this time.
Some drives may be incompatible or have performance issues.
If you already have space reserved for storing Xbox 360 data on your existing external hard drive, you will need to clear the storage to gain full access to the drive.

Starting with the 2.0.17335.0 update for Preview, Xbox 360 Preview participants will be able to use any hard drive up to 2TB to store 360 data.
We will also no longer reserve space in advance on your hard drive. If you are using 16GB of games – we will only take 16GB of space.
Just like today you will be able to use two external drives at a time. With two external hard drives, you can have up to 4TB of external storage.

Change on content moving options between drives: Certain types of content, such as games installed from a disc, are not allowed to be moved between drives. To reduce confusion, in this update we have removed the Move and Copy options for this content. If you need to move a game that was installed from a disc, you can uninstall and reinstall it to the drive of your choice.

Media files on External HDD Fix:You will be able see/view drives with music without removing and re-plugging in the drive
Password reset: Password reset reliability is improved
Incorrect Bing Logo: The Bing logo is now corrected in some countries where it was incorrect before

Changes in 2.0.17331.0:Network troubleshooter updates: New in this release are network troubleshooting updates, including Network Statistics.
View purchase history on your Xbox 360: From Account Settings, select “Purchase History” and you will be able to see your purchase history directly on your console.
Microsoft Account balance on the dashboard: Now you can choose to show your account balance on the Xbox 360 dashboard in the upper right corner. You can enable this in Settings>Account>Account Security>Display Money in Account.
Reset your password: Need to reset your password? You don’t have to get on your PC anymore, you can do this from your Xbox 360.
