Because the existing ways do not cover my own needs, and also as a project to learn how the PlayStation Classic, and the existing hack work, i have developed my own solution to have custom games and more:
psxc_xpandrThis is not something user friendly, but an evolution of gpghax, incorporating some failsafe mechanisms, and features taken from different sources and my own investigation too. For example, you must know how to edit the extracted SQLite Database correctly.
DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
Features:
Can keep or virtually replace (loading from USB) the original installed games
Can add new games (loaded from USB drive instead or internal memory)
Minimal modification of PlayStation Classic internal storage. Powering off completely the console and removing the USB drive leaves the console as if nothing had happened
Extracts automatically most of the needed files when used on a blank USB drive
Adds support for access to the console menu using simultaneously the buttons Select and Triangle of a controller
Optionally compatible to play with two controllers, using a USB hub
Optional UI modifications support
Optional cheats support via cheatpops.db
