You’d think Kojima Productions would’ve announced their next game by now. Instead, all we’re getting is more and more rumors. This time, it’s coming from the Official PlayStation Magazine in the UK.
“The talent drive has started for the next Metal Gear after Rising, with Kojima Productions hiring for a ‘next gen’ installment already and hoping to reveal it at TGS in September,” reads the magazine’s rumor section.
As per usual, take this with a grain of salt. Let’s hope Kojima announces something soon, though. I think we’re all tired of waiting to hear what’s next out of him!

5pb., a Japanese developer and longtime supporter of Xbox 360, has declared that “it is the era of multiplatform”. Speaking in a broadcast earlier today, CEO Chiyomaru Shikura said that he wants “as many people as possible to play” their games.
The developer also hinted at NGP support, echoing earlier comments from Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida that porting games from PlayStation 3 to NGP is a simple task.
5pb. is currently working on Bullet Soul and Phantom Breaker for Xbox 360. A third, currently unannounced project — being created in collaboration with Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima and No More Heroes head Suda 51 — has yet to be given a platform.

Pero sinceramente no creo que se molesten en remakear esos o portearlos ya que el boom de la saga llegó con el de PSX
We heard rumblings that Grasshopper Manufacture has another IP in development aside from Shadows of the Damned and Sine Mora. The title is called Lollipop Chainsaw, a name that surprised us, but not because how absurd it is.
Last year, we discovered Kadokawa Games trademarked Lollipop Chainsaw in Japan and the US. Grasshopper Manufacture is developing a game for Kadokawa Games too, but that title has not been announced yet.
I think some of my readers would agree about the level of quality. Moving forward, since Enslaved is considered as one of the quality IPs that Namco Bandai owns, do you think there is a future for the it?
CC: You tell me, do you think gamers want more? I can assure you, a title like Enslaved, and every title we’ve worked on in the past we’re going to re-examine them and say what is the potential for the game? We’ve been doing a lot of studies, consumer engagement, and community engagement… let’s put it this way one of these days stay tuned there will be more news to come.

Shikura has a Twitcast live channel. During a broadcast earlier today, he apparently said that 5pb. is planning to join up with the PS3. "It is the era of multiplatform," said Shikura. "I want as many people as possible to play."
Shikura also made some comments that could indicate possible support for Sony's new NGP portable, saying that porting PS3 games to the system is quite easy.
5pb. is the publisher of adventure games like Memories Off and the acclaimed "science series" that consists of Steins; Gate and Chaos; Head. The studio has also been branching off into other fields, with the original 2D bullet hell shooter Bullet Souls and 2D fighting game Phantom Breaker. In terms of game consoles, the publisher chiefly supports Xbox 360. However, versions of its adventure games are also released on PSP and iOS.
Two of Chiyomaru's upcoming titles, new science adventure series entry Robotics;notes and a mysterious tie-up project with Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and Grasshopper Manufacturer's Suda 51 are currently platform TBA.
The V!chachu report apparently says that EA had shown off a demo of the sequel internally, but those who were working on it at DICE have now moved on and that the project has “stalled”.
EA told VG247 it couldn’t “comment on speculation.”
The original released in 2008.
EA Games Europe VP Patrick Soderlund confirmed at E3 in 2009 that a small team was working on a sequel.
The previous game did critically well but failed to attract decent sales.
EA boss John Riccitiello said at the end of 2009, however, that Mirror’s Edge does “deserve a sequel.”
Activision have announced that they are to release Transformers: Dark of the Moon, currently in development at High Moon Studios for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Of more direct interest to Nintendo fans is the news that Behaviour Interactive are developing “distinct versions” for the Wii, Nintendo DS and the upcoming Nintendo 3DS.
Based upon Hasbro’s legendary Transformers property and featuring a brand-new ‘Stealth Force’ conversion mode, the game thrusts players directly into an original prologue storyline to experience the ultimate battle between the Autobots and Decepticons that leads into the summer’s most anticipated blockbuster film, whilst revealing another face of evil, Shockwave.
The Transformers: Dark of the Moon game will provide players with the opportunity to fight through the epic battles on Earth that will shape the events of the upcoming film. Armed with a brand-new gameplay mechanic, fans will harness the power of Stealth Force to instantly convert to a third, hybrid state that combines the weapons and firepower of robot mode with the agility and maneuverability of vehicle mode.
Set in unique environments around the world such as the Jungles of South America, Siberian military facilities, Detroit Cityscapes and more, the game lets players assume the roles of a diverse roster of everyone’s favorite Transformers from the movie through a heart-pounding campaign to save mankind. Additionally, fans can play the game with or against their friends through intense, online multiplayer game modes as their favorite iconic characters.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand on the epic movie universe in the Transformers: Dark of the Moon game, and allow fans to experience the gripping events and backstories that occur right before the upcoming film,” said Paul Wright, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing.
“The immensely talented group at High Moon Studios are huge fans of the property, and they are thrilled to unveil some new characters from the movie while introducing Stealth Force gameplay that lets players convert to a third form beyond robot and vehicle modes to defeat their enemies in more ways than ever before.”

Variety reports that when the '80s hit Voltron relaunches on the airwaves later this year in the form of Voltron Force, there will be video games on shelves to herald its arrival. According to the article, the titles will be published by THQ, which has secured the exclusive ability to do so from rights holder World Events Productions.
No further details were divulged, such as which developer (or developers) will be in charged of translating the cartoon -- which features a five-person team piloting robotic lions that combine to form the titular mega-robot -- into something we can actually play. We've contacted THQ for comment and will update when we hear back.
The boss of core games at the publisher said the announce will come in the second week of the month with plenty of content to come from it.
The tweet reads:
“Look for a HUGE announcement from us the second week in March! Will come with lots of content.”
Saints Row 3 or your money back guaranteed. Bilson previously said that a “big” announcement on the anticipated Volition title would be “coming soon.”
The same day, the company confirmed a fall release for the game, although THQ CEO Brian Farrell said that he had been placed “under a very tight gag order by our Saints Row team. Hang in there: you’re going to love it.”
It didn’t end well for Bizarre Creations. The Blur and Project Gotham developer will officially close its doors on February 18.
Bizarre, which was founded in 1994 (or 1988, if you want to get technical), employed over 200 staff, and made around twenty games during its 15 years in operation.
The company became known after developing 1996′s PlayStation and PC hit, Formula 1. Its more recent developments include the Geometry Wars franchise and 2008′s The Club.
More speculation is emerging from the depths of Official PlayStation Magazine UK’s rumour mill page in this month’s issue, this time regarding Far Cry 3. A snippet from the read states:
“Start taking the malaria medicine in preparation: Far Cry 3 could be arriving before the end of this year.”
The game was first confirmed to be in the preliminary stages of development way back in August 2008 by publisher Ubisoft. Since then we’ve heard Far Cry 2 scriptwriter Kevin Shortt claim the game to look “pretty exciting,” and Ubisoft’s Patrick Redding noting the possibility of the game being set in Antarctica - nothing's been seen though.
So if this rumour is correct – it’s understandable, considering the 2010 release originally marked by some retailers – there’s a fine chance that we will see some sort of unveiling at an upcoming event. E3, anyone?

a mi me gustó mucho el 1 y me gustaría que sacaran una segunda parte.
IGN will be showing a brand new trailer of a previously announced title tomorrow. Although it appears that the site will only be posting a CG trailer, the video may very well be worth your time. Editor Hilary Goldstein has already declared it as “the game trailer of the year”. Goldstein also posted the following on his Twitter account:
“Wow. Saw the game trailer of the year just now. Holy crap. You will see it exclusively on IGN tomorrow. WOW. It’s for a game that was announced a long time ago, forgotten, and is being re-introduced. A CG trailer, but shocking and unforgettable.”
