Fight for the Future is a organized BF2 Tournament designed to give players a new experience of organized teamplay without the typical BF2 pubbing. FFTF is based off a military command structure with a General who leads both sides of the armies.
With weekly battles, armies move across a battlemap gaining control points and help its General complete his Campaign Objectives. Unlike other tournaments, FFTF is geared towards giving players not only a venue to experience organized teamplay, but also be interactive with the tournament itself.
We have a dynamic storyline that progresses each week as well as other features built into our website to help keep players active and give more of a "storybook" feel to the tournament.
This is the latest:
FFTF & BC2 Begin Journey!
Fight For The Future has been a long time staple in the Battlefield series games, beginning all the way back with the original, BF1942 & BFV as Viper Tournaments founded it's root's in Team Work & Organized Game play close to 10 years ago. FFTF has seen ups & downs over the years, but we are still here & our plans to rebuild our community & find new battles are once again on the horizon.
Our new focus will be on Bad Company 2, the newest release in the Battlefield series, which is set to release in March, just a few months away. The PC Beta is set to release next week (Jan. 28th) and will give our community a chance to get some first looks & play time with the new game. This beta stage will run for about 1 month, given us a load of play time together to learn our way around.
We have already seen interest in some wanting to lead an Army/Squad & there will be more information on how you can Lead or Join a Team in the coming days. With the overall player size of BC2 being set to 32 for the PC version, our plans have changed from the old school of having two very large Army's to multiple smaller Army's or Squads, made up of 8 to 16 players each.We plan to have more than our 2 standard Army's and will be looking to build at least 4 to start our first tour & possibly more as more ppl join FFTF & become interested. We hope that this new structure will show that just because BC2 is limited in overall player size on 1 server, that does not mean that we can't have a very large community of gamers & loads of players working together as always.
Also the Campaign itself will change a bit, with more of a bracket type system seeing that we will be playing more than 1 battle on Saturday (our Main Battle Day). All of these details will be worked out over the coming weeks as we get new Leaders to Join up & offer their input on these & many other tournament items.
FFTF is proud to take this next step & we hope that everyone enjoys their time here, finds a home & makes loads of new friends, which they can then shot in the face & laugh about it. "
