Quantum Theory could be a 2010 Sleeper GameWhile most gamers are anticipating Triple A games, such as God of War 3, Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy XIII in 2010, there are a huge number of gamers that could care less for these anticipated games, and simply head to their local Gamestop each week, to ask the Gamestop personnel the question; “what is the latest hot game? The Gamestop personnel know that it is a slow release Tuesday, and promotes the latest release, even if it is a low grade game.
Then come the complaints, the hate for the games, the hate for the local video game seller for talking the unwise in to buying this incredibly stupid, worth $5, lame piece of shit! But hey, what if the game actually turns out to be a good game? What do the gamers say then? They play it, they love it, they recommended to their friends, but does that game still have the same recognition as a God of War 3, or Mass Effect 2?
Every year we get those 5 maybe 10 triple A titled games that we have been waiting for all year, sometimes even years. But we also get an incredible amount of low grade games that have you guessing how the heck they pay those video game developers. And then come the games that you never saw coming, the ones that come out at a time when you are on the first few hours of that Triple A title. You still have your good and bad in this category, but most of the time, it is only good, because we only care for the good sleeper titles.
This is where Quantum Theory comes in. Gears of War 3? Are you serious? While it looks very similar to a Gears game, Quantum does pack some unique ideas into the game. You have the third person shooter, bloody gore game play. And let’s not forget the 4 vs. 4 player online capabilities. Ok, so maybe we need a similar to Gears of War video games. Or maybe we don’t. Nevertheless, Quantum Theory should be on every gamer’s watch since it will be on both the 360 and PS3. And after all, it could very well be the closest thing to Gears of War on the PS3. But let’s not forget, that Quantum has never been a game with all the hype surrounding it, and from the looks of it, Quantum can very well be a sleeper title this year.
