Occasional image disruption on Samsung LExxR41/51B range LCD TVs using 60hz or modified input sources
Samsung is aware that a small number of users of its LExxR41/51B range of LCD TVs are experiencing occasional degradation of image quality when using the product with some specialised or modified input sources.
This issue does not affect the vast majority of owners of this range of Samsung LCD TVs, or any other Samsung TV products. Samsung’s technical experts have established that the problem does not arise as a result of a technical fault in the product but rather because the product is being used only in conjunction with certain input sources.
It is, however, of prime importance to Samsung that all of its broad user community is able to enjoy the best possible experience of its products.
Samsung has therefore carried out extensive testing to identify the cause of this phenomenon, and can confirm that it is only experienced when using input sources that output high definition 720p format video at a rate of 60hz or have been modified to do so. Customers using such equipment may experience an occasional and brief disruption of the picture that commonly appears as a moving line in the middle of the screen.
Samsung’s engineers have been able to develop a solution that resolves the issue immediately for any customer that has been affected.
If you have experienced the above issue, Samsung asks owners of models within this range using such inputs, modified or otherwise, to contact its customer support team to enable the matter to be swiftly resolved on: 0870 242 0303 - select Option 5.
Customers that have been in touch with Samsung in regard to this issue will be contacted directly by Samsung customer service shortly.
