Everyone who buys a certain number of devices gets to brand the devices.
Wolsen calls them PlayGo
Retromimi calls them PocketGo
other chinese markets call the device Miyoo Max
The hardware in all those cases is the same. From the same factory. Made by the same people.
All 50 units (50 Units sold to 43 Customers) were manufactured on the 25th of November and are Final Retail Production Units. The manufacturer intended to sell those for 50USD (aprox. 10usd discount) but decided against it so as not to hurt Retromimis business by undercutting their own Dropship resellers.
Which makes their behavior even worse.
Retromimi neither verifies, nor handles or ever checks these devices.
That is not how their business works.
They are a simple Drop-shipping operation. At no point do they ever have any items in inventory at their location.
You order from them and they pass your order on to the manufacturer who then ships it to you.
Manufacturing the device itself costs around 27usd. Thats how retromimi profits by simply redirecting orders.
They say they cant vouch for any of the units with different branding.
Of course they cant. They cant vouch for the ones they sell either!
How could they? They will never get to see any of them, since they arent the ones who manufacture, test or ship them out.
All of this is terribly embarassing for retromimi, because they now accuse Wolsen, the original shop of the manufacturer, to be the fakes. They just hope that no one who knows about this to say anything, so it wont eat into their profits.
Retromimi has paid the manufacturer so as to claim 10.000 units of the upcoming production, so those 50 Units they sold by themselves will be the only ones they sell directly until that contract is fullfilled. Especially since there are only 5 People in the entire assembly-line.
Retromimi owes them an apology!
Thank you for the explanation.
@ETishare, something to add? Maybe you can change your nick to Eti shame...
