) A recent job listing has revealed that THQ's Australian subsidiary studio is working on a high-profile, multiplayer co-op project.
The listing states that the Brisbane based developer is looking for "a Senior Multiplayer Combat Designer to work on a high profile AAA multiplayer cooperative action combat project on the 360 and PS3."
THQ Studio Australia's previous development overview includes children's titles such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, PANTS! and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Attack of the Twonkies. So, from the listings description, their next title is a little more grown up.

There's an embargo on the details, so you won't be seeing screen shots, movies and other things until early next week, but here's the notes they were able to get together.
• Confirmed characters so far are Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm and a few others will return.
• The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 development team said they will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes on the disc.
• This will be another 2D fighter — gameplay-wise — but will be something of a cross between the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 4.
• The rumored release date is late 2010 or early 2011 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, no plans right now for other systems.
• The game will run in 1080p resolution.
• It will be a disc-based release.
• Apparently the game will have unlockables again.
• The game will be playable at this year's E3 which is held on June 15 - 17th.

All he said was that the game was an open world, online title that allows players to create their own missions. Obviously, the game is on PS3 - but there was no mention of multiplatform or exclusivity - and will ship 'later this year'. The cat fell out the bag while discussing GTA, so maybe the title is a more mature one than Little Big Planet.
Speaking on the latest Official PlayStation Magazine UK podcast, Editor-In-Chief Ben Wilson has hinted that a new open-world game is coming that will grant players the ability to create their own missions for others to download and play. When discussing GTA and where that particular franchise might go next, Ben states:“There is another game that we can’t talk about – I’d love to – that we know where it’s an open-world game that’s coming out this year. Everyone’s looking at me confused – this is genuinely true, I’m not making this up. Basically it’s an open-world game where people will be able to design their own missions online and share them.”
We’re not sure what it is, but with LittleBIGPlanet enabling players to create their own platforming levels, and ModNation Racers gifting budding track-designers the chance to dream up some wondrous racing scenarios, is it any surprise that Sony might take the “Play. Create. Share.” mantra to the next level with user-generated adventures in a sandbox title?
The fact that it’s due out this year and we’ve heard nothing about it until now is also both equally suspect and remarkable. Expect to hear more about this one in the future, folks. We’re already putting the feelers out to see what we can find.

Luego he pensado que podria ser el Agent, pero realmente este ya esta anunciado por lo que es tonteria no decir que se trata de el, ademas de que no esta claro del todo que vaya a salir este año finalmente, asi que o bien es lo nuevo de Jaffe o bien es el StarHawk o realmente Sony tiene un E3 bastante cargadito de sorpresas

Si, de las que nos enteraremos un par de dias antes del E3 y les chafarán el evento.

) On Friday, GamesRadar posted an excellent argument as to why Splinter Cell: Conviction will go to the PS3 and we're inclined to agree with those assessments on the basis that they are 100% true.
Well, as of right now we might have a little more evidence that we don't know how we possibly missed this that suggests this game is indeed going multiplatform.
What's Missing on this box?
If you've noticed, there's no Only on Xbox tag on the box. 'But, the game is also available on PC!' you exclaim? Well, when has that ever stopped the powers at be from still putting that tag on the box? Remember, according to Microsoft's own mouth they consider a game to be an exclusive as long as it's not available on another console. They don't count the support for PC as grounds for non-exclusivity.
And, before you begin saying that Microsoft doesn't do that any more you may want to take a look at the boxart for the last exclusive released that was also on PC, Metro 2033.
If you were bragging about this game to your PS3 owning friends you might want to stop, as things are not looking in 360's favor for this remaining an exclusive much longer.
