Dear Subject Name Here,
Aperture Science is pleased to inform you that we have partnered with Valve to announce the gala CANCELLATION of the June 14 Portal 2 event at the Regal Theater. The event will be replaced by a surprise. And even though the cancellation of the event certainly counts as a surprise, we are pleased to further announce that the cancellation of the event is not THE surprise. However, per International treaties regarding the definition of the word "surprise", of which both Aperture Science and Valve are signatories, the time, date and content of the actual surprise will only become available as you experience the surprise.
If you'd like to ask fruitless questions about the E3 Portal 2 surprise or, more fruitfully, schedule an appointment to attend a Portal 2 screening at the Valve booth during E3, please contact Valve's Special Envoy to Surprises, Doug Lombardi.
Thank you for <<RECORD SCRATCH!!!>>
PS: The surprising record scratch is also not the surprise.

Hideo Kojima's work on Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker may be mostly done. But he's still busy. Too busy, in fact to work on a manuscript he's working on at present.
Tweeted Kojima earlier today, "With the top secret project, E3 preparations, meetings, and checks, I couldn't work on my manuscript today as well."
That "top secret project" seems to be the thing Kojima has been teasing for months now. If you keep up with his Twitter, you'll see that he makes regular mention of it, usually of the form "I just came out of a meeting about the 'top secret project'."
More notable in today's set of Hideo Kojima Twitter posts is this picture:
Wrote Kojima, "Microsoft's Uchita and Yonekura visit Kojima Productions. We give a presentation. What did these two attractive men see?"
sera el rising o sera zone of the ender para xbox

Starhawk announcement incoming? Dylan Jobe presenting title to Sony tomorrow
Sony is going to be testing the latest creation of Lightbox Interactive tomorrow, and the chances of it being the rumored Starhawk are fairly plausible. Since Warhawk, Dylan Jobe and the folks at Lightbox have been silent, but it has been known they are working on a new PS3 title. Finally, new information is coming straight from Jobe's mouth -- or Twitter account -- that they'll be showing their new game to Sony tomorrow. Just in time for E3.
Dylan Jobe:
The stuff we still have to improve on, or fix, or oversights that require new development.
DylanJobe
Looking forward to all the feedback we're gonna get from the playtest. Interestingly, we really only care about the negative feedback.
DylanJobe
Off to SONY tomorrow for our latest milestone review and playtest. Really happy with the progress this month!
The title of Starhawk was trademarked last year and no announcement came of a title named that. With E3 just under two weeks away, we could potentially see Starhawk at E3. If not that, we should see Lightbox Interactive's latest project soon.

RUMOR: PS2 Games Coming To PSN
With several game developers starting to slow down producing any new games on the aging PlayStation 2 hardware, could the PS2 Games now appear on the PSN, much like PSOne titles have?
Now that the biggest event in thevideo game industry is fast approaching, many surprises will be revealed. One of the rumored things that is said to be announced at E3 from Sony is the PlayStation Network Premium service. Lately, there have been rumors about PS2 games appearing on the PlayStation 3.
If our sources are indeed to be trusted, PS2 games will start to appear on the PlayStation Network and will be announced at this year’sE3, along with the news about the PSN Premium service. Let’s face it, the PlayStation 2 will soon come to an end and there’s no way Sony will just ditch the platform. With no PS2 backwards compatibility available on the PlayStation 3 console except for the original 20GB and 60GB models, this is the solution for Sony to keep the best PS2 titles alive.
If this is indeed true it looks as if Sony will try to compete with Xbox 360’s Games on Demand service. Xbox 360 gamers have had the glory of downloading not only Xbox Original titles but full Xbox 360 games as well thanks to the Games on Demand service. For now, we’ll wait till E3 if Sony does announce such a plan of this nature to surface.

Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) today announced the development of Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, a free-to-play, action packed virtual world for fans of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series on Cartoon Network.
Developed and published by SOE, creators of the critically acclaimed kids' game, Free Realms, and licensed by LucasArts, in conjunction with Lucasfilm Ltd., Clone Wars Adventures will launch online and in retail stores this fall.
"We have a long running and extremely successful partnership with Sony Online Entertainment and look forward to working together on our next project, Clone Wars Adventures," said Mary Bihr, Global VP of Publishing, LucasArts. "Working hand in hand with Lucasfilm, LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment ensures that Clone Wars Adventures will be the most authentic and accessible Clone Wars experience for kids and families to play in their very own living room."
Focused on creating a fun and safe online environment for kids and families, Clone Wars Adventures offers exciting minigames, dynamic activities, lively social events and thousands of customization options. Players can even battle it out with friends alongside iconic Star Wars characters like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Ahsoka Tano.
"Clone Wars Adventures is the ultimate destination for fans of The Clone Wars series and will bring the action and excitement of the show to players online so they can experience the The Clone Wars universe firsthand" said John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment. "We've worked with LucasArts and Lucasfilm to create a virtual world that is seamlessly integrated with the TV series and a true extension of the show. It's also just flat-out fun to play."
With Clone Wars Adventures a new generation of Star Wars fans can become the next great hero of the Republic and take their rightful place alongside the Jedi, Padawan and Clone Troopers. Players can speed through space in a starfighter, take out waves of battle droids in Tower Defense or test their brains with challenging Droid Programming puzzles. Players can also purchase legendary Star Wars outfits, items and accessories through micro-transactions using Station Cash, SOE's virtual currency.

Metal Gear Rising Confirmed for Sony Conference at E3
While I was busy booking video interview time for E3 this past week, I stumbled on some interesting developments regarding Hideo Kojima and the E3 conference. You see, I originally called in to book interview time with the legendary developer upon his upcoming visit to New York City on June 12th before the conference. I then asked about reserving possible interview time in L.A. during the week of the conference, I was then told this as a reply:
“Mr. Kojima is on a very tight schedule, and will not be doing ANY interviews. He will be going to E3 and appearing at the conference for the 1st party publishers and that’s it. I don’t even think he’ll make it to our [Konami] own conference. Afterwards, he starts a world tour for Peace Walker”
In case you missed the significance here, the key word is “publishers”, as in plural. What other reason would Kojima need to appear at the Sony Conference after Peace Walker is already on store shelves? Simple. To start promoting Metal Gear Rising for the PS3 as well. Now, don’t be surprised when Jack Tretton announces Kojima onto the stage during next months show. You have been warned

This.
msx2, nes, psx, ps2, pc, xbox, psp, game boy, gamecube, iphone, ps3, xbox360
Bethesda’s arming a massive nuke for E3 in a week-and-a-half time: an Elder Scrolls V announcement, if what most of the internet is guessing rightly.
According to Abstract360, the latest issue of Famitsu has several companies confirming they still have surprises up their sleeves, including Konami and Ubisoft. But Bethesda’s surprise segment is marked with “secret”.
That’s despite company PR guru Pete Hines saying at the company’s US pre-E3 event back in April that it will have nothing to announce at the LA mega-event.
And if there is an announcement to come, it wasn’t listed by the company when it announced its E3 line-up earlier this week – all of which were the titles we seen at its European pre-E3 event in France back in April.
However, its been four years since the last Elder Scrolls title, Oblivion, so this would naturally make sense.
Elder Scrolls MMO, anyone?
E3 takes place from the week of June 14
