Speaking to MCV, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot claimed that a new Assassin’s Creed will be coming this year, stating that it will be “something interesting around the Assassin’s brand.”

Guillemot didn’t expand further, but reading between the lines, it’s possible that this year’s Assassin’s Creed game may not be a direct sequel. Of course, at this early stage it’s impossible to be sure.

Batman: Arkham City may not be the only new Batman game in the pipeline. New domain registrations by publisher Warner Brothers hints that there’s more to be revealed.

The publisher recently registered:

* BatmanHush.com
* BatmanHushGame.com
* BatmanImposters.com
* BatmanImpostors.com
* BatmanKnightFell.com
* BatmanRedHoods.com

We’re not sure what the majority of them could be, but one of the names does ring a bell. Back in August last year, a listing appeared on the websites of a few major UK retailers for a game titled Gotham City Imposters. The game was listed for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. This may just be its resurfacing.

Either that, or these are just domain registrations for Batman story arcs. Even so, one of them does hint at it being a game — Batman: Hush.

Compile Heart has officially announced the sequel to this year’s Hyperdimension Neptunia (or last year’s in Japan). Titled Hyperdimension Neptunia mk-II (or Coujigen Game Neptune mk-II in Japan), the sequel is in development for PlayStation 3 and is being handled by Natsumi Iwasaki, who also managed the first game.
As one might have suspected from the teaser countdown, set to hit zero this Thursday, Neptunia mk-II will introduce new characters. Dengeki has the first look at three of them.

•Purple Sister, or Nepgear
•Black Sister, or Uni
•White Sister, or Rom & Ram
Outdoing its predecessor, Neptunia mk-II will have improved graphics and a four party battle system.

The game will release in both standard and limited editions, going for 7,329 and 9,429 yen, respectively. It’ll launch in Japan in either August or September.

Rom and Ram, mentioned earlier, are twins. Rom has blue hair and pink eyes while Ram has pink hair and blue eyes. Though they’re twins, they have completely different personalities. Rom will jump right into battle and attack, but Ram will stay back on defense and not say much.

As the game is a sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia, you can expect the same type of game parodies. One new element introduced in Neptunia mk-II is “Mintsubu,” which is a play on the Japanese word for Twitter. Everyone in the game world has a Mintsubu account, each with their own avatars resembling characters like Mario, Luigi, El Shaddai, Toro the cat, and Segata Sanshiro.

PS3: Capcom anounces "Dragon's Dogma". Monsters, Magic and Melee

Dragon’s Dogma is a new intellectual property from the creators of Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 4. And while it resembles another Capcom series featuring monsters and the hunting thereof, we’re promised a unique experience when the game launches in ”early 2012.”

Capcom European COO David Reeves has said consumers can expect more from the firm at market than just Resident Evil and Street Fighter games.

In fact, the developer has another original title in the works which is expected to hit next year. Reeves wouldn’t say what it was though, and mores the pity.

“The strategy going forward is for [Resident Evil and Street Fighter] to form the basis of the portfolio,” he told MCV (via CVG). “We’re not saying it’s going to be all Street Fighter and Resident Evil forever. There will be new projects, but they will be shot through with Capcom’s quality NDA and subjected to a very rigorous green light process… there will be at least one more original title from us that will come out next year.”

Last week during the firm’s Captivate event in Miami, new IP Aura’s Wrath was shown, along with Dragons’ Dogma, another new IP which was announced during the event.

A followup to EA’s on-the-pavement soccer franchise FIFA Street may be in the pipeline. A supposed survey regarding FIFA Street 4 has made its way into the public eye by way of an anonymous tipster.

The survey describes the game as an “authentic simulation of the real street Football [soccer] game, played by people all over the world.” It’s said to introduce “ground-breaking” features including game modes like “Knock-Out Wembley” and “Shootouts”. These are played across over fifty venues “including streets, parks, goal centers and indoor stadiums”.

A “Street World Tour” mode allows you to add friends to an online soccer squad and compete against other teams. You can also send friends challenges to complete.

The solo campaign has players participating in local and international leagues. You can apparently share your gameplay stats and videos through Facebook integration and an in-game social network.

Obviously, nothing’s confirmed so consider this a giant rumor for now. A new entry sounds super cool, though. FIFA Street is one of those fun games you can play with friends or when people are over and have a blast doing it.

A recent job listing on the Electronic Arts website has hinted at a third Army of Two game being underway, with Visceral Games Montreal reportedly heading up development.

The listing is “seeking a dynamic Senior Producer for the Army of Two franchise.” You wouldn’t seek out a producer for a franchise if you’re not making a game around it, right? Right.

The second game in the franchise, Army of Two: The 40th Day, released in January 2010. In October 2009, The 40th Day producer Matt Turner told GamerZines that a third game would “depend on the public reaction.”

Sounds like it was well enough.

As well as unveiling Stranger’s Wrath HD at this month’s GameCityNights event in Nottingham, the Oddworld dev has told Eurogamer it plans to reveal another title at the same time – a revival of a shelved title from the 90s.

No further details about the mystery title have been revealed, so you’ll just have to wait for the official unveiling on April 28.

The update of Stranger’s Wrath, on the other hand, is said to feature 720p visuals, enhanced character detail, normal mapping, self-shadowing, re-mastered dialogue, Move support and additional undisclosed bonus material.

Just Add Water is expecting to be busy in the coming months, after it was previously announced that the developer would release four Oddworld titles this year.

Enero seria un mes muy raro para lanzar un GTA,parece que Rockstar ultimamente acostumbra a lanzar en Mayo.

EA Montreal is looking for a number of new employees to work on Visceral Games’ best-selling Army of Two and Dead Space franchises.




The games themselves aren’t being discussed publicly at this stage, but Joystiq found a handful of job openings.

Positions on offer include a lead environmental artist, art director and a senior producer for Army of Two, as well as a senior development director for the Dead Space franchise.

In addition to these roles, there are also a few non-franchise specific positions available, and two jobs which involve working on a “new action adventure IP”.

This is a rumour for now til more evidence shows up supporting it. Lupinko is the guy who leaked some of the MVC3 roster before the it was officially announced from Capcom. He has been posting some hints that a new edition could be coming soon.

As Sony continues to expand the library of games to download on the PSN, another classic PSOne game is added to the collection. According to a new listing posted today (4/17/2011) by the ESRB, the North American ratings board, Dino Crsis 2 is set to be released on the PSN for PS3 and PSP. The official announcement of the game’s release on the network has not yet been made by SCEA, but you can expect it sooner or later.

A critical success and selling over 1 million copies, Dino Crisis 2 continues the story of the first game where we find the main character Regina on another mission where a major anomaly causes the whole island she is on to be transported back in time to the era of the dinosaurs, along with all the human inhabitants. Regina now has to go on a rescue mission making a new ally Dylan Morton that the player can also control through different parts of the game.
