EA Partners boss David DeMartini has told Eurogamer the firm’s new title with Insomniac Games is being given an aim of 90 on MetaCritic.

The publisher had announced the deal with the California-based studio back in May, which seen its 16-year PlayStation-only code go out the window to develop a PS3-360 title for the first time ever.

DeMartini told the site in Cologne during gamescom it had already gotten “a really great creative idea” and it had been “breaking new ground”.

“Insomniac makes really high-quality experiences that consumers love, and they’re doing that again,” he said.

They are breaking some ground with regards to gameplay. But I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Yeah, they’re going 4D.’

“Insomniac regularly has set a bar at 90 in Metacritic. I think this game is going to exceed that bar. It is a really great creative idea that they’re executing on marvellously so far,” he added.

DeMartini went on to hint it won’t be before long before we see the title in action for the first time.

“I think sooner rather than later we’re going to be sharing some early concepts on that one because they’ve made so much progress. They’re in a great position.”

Not much is known on the EAP title, other than Insomniac’s main studio in Burbank, California will be handling development on the game.

The developer did announce in Germany three weeks ago two new titles from California and its new studio in North Carolina, respectively: Ratchet & Clank: All4One from its NC studio, and the much anticipated Resistance 3 in Burbank, both for PS3.

Both of which will be out for 2011

Gearbox has confirmed that it's working on a new Brothers In Arms title; trademark filings suggest it could be a modern reboot

Gearbox talked about it's other projects after confirming it is to bring Duke Nukem Forvever back from the dead.

"We're not announcing anything today, but we want to tell you guys that we really care about this franchise a lot," Gearbox co-founder Brian Martel said at PAX over the weekend, according to joystiq.

“It was our first original IP. So we'll be taking care of that one.”

"It's something we created and it really means a lot to us. It's not just a game about the combat. It's about the soldiers in the war. We'll deal with Baker and his men in future games for sure."

The squad-based shooter series has so far been set exclusively in World War II. "We also may do some other things that maybe treat the game in some different ways and take some different directions," added Martel.

The success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may have influenced many a publisher to put a contemporary spin on their own shooters (we're looking at you Medal of Honor), but is Brothers In Arms next? Gearbox's trademark filings certainly imply a modern reboot is on the cards.

Trademarks for Brothers In Arms War Hero, War Hero and Modern War Hero have all been filed by Gearbox Software.

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford also said at PAX: "It was our first original IP. So we'll be taking care of that one."

"We've got a lot of action right now, but we're not ready quite yet to bring it out. We want to make sure we know we've got it right before we tell you what we're doing."

Ever since the announcement of Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 was made, people have been clamoring over whether or not Mass Effect 3 would make way to the system when the game releases. That question may now have an answer and it looks like it'll be made official in just a few short weeks.

Thanks to reliable tip, it seems that BioWare is poised to reveal information about Mass Effect 3 shortly. As with every gaming related event, some major news is always leaked from behind closed doors, and this year's PAX was no different. Planning an announcement in October, BioWare will officially announce Mass Effect 3 and will also let it be known that the game is also coming to the PS3. This should be classified as a rumor and taken as a rumor.

Whether this holds true or not will be known in the near future. With the next entry hitting the PS3 in early 2011, will you buy Mass Effect 3 on the PS3 or will you continue to follow the series on the Xbox 360 and get the complete experience over all three entries?

Dead Rising creator Keiji Inafune has revealed that, should Capcom give Dead Rising 3 the green light, he'll want Blue Castle Games back on board to develop it.

Talking to IGN about the future of the zombie-splatting series, Inafune said:

"Well, we're not going to start even speaking about DR3 until we see the sales of DR2 - unfortunately that's the nature of the game!

"However, the experience with Blue Castle was very positive, and if we have the opportunity I would like to work with them again."

Blue Castle Games, of course, are the guys and girls behind Dead Rising 2, the sequel to 2006's Dawn of the Dead 'em-up which launches later this month.

The original game was developed internally at Capcom.

But Inafune also suggested that the game may see some changes to its gameplay if a third title roles around.

"For Dead Rising 3, the gameplay might be the same, it might be different, but I will come up with another goal to achieve."

Here's hoping that goal is 'fix the save system'.

Dead Rising 2 launches on September 24th on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version is due a few days later.

Vale que cambió de marca en el 2005, pero si lo ponen como era en los 90 que mínimo que ser fieles a esos polos de nike tan vintage que llevaba.

Dead Rising's creator and Resident Evil producer Keiji Inafune has revealed that he is "already working on multiple projects" and that they will be announced "soon".

Talking to IGN about his latest game Dead Rising 2, which launches in the UK later this month, Inafune revealed that he would like the "challenge" of developing for Kinect or PlayStation Move, but that he has no plans to create a Move or Kinect-exclusive version of his zombie slasher.

"Actually I'm already working on multiple projects," said Inafune-san. "So watch this space, we'll be announcing things soon."

One of them is rumoured to be Resident Evil 6.

"They're both very interesting devices, said Inafune on Move and Kinect, "however in my opinion a hybrid control system won't work - if the game's going to succeed, it has to be Kinect exclusive or Move exclusive game.

"In order to achiever (sic) that you have to take a risk on the business side, so it's a difficult business model. But interesting nonetheless - I would like to challenge it one day."

Inafune has been credited as working on a number of Capcom's top franchises, including survival horror series Resident Evil, popular platformer Mega Man, Street Fighter IV and Onimusha. He was also a producer on Dark Void, but we won't talk about that.

No sabemos si vamos a hacer un evento en invierno, pero lo que si te puedo decir ahora es que vamos ha anunciar un par de titulos impresionantes
