Desde la configuración de KDE para manejar la red sigue estando network manager. Algo de una actualización? No me he enterado de lo que he actualizado últimamente.
PD: Tengo una Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN y en su día, con la instalación de Arch instalé su firmware.

Si usas x86_64 no cambió, se eliminó, ya se explicó el motivo un par de página hacia atrás.
Si lo necesitas tendrás que bajarte el paquete e instalarlo a mano.

creo que el pensamiento no es solo mio... pero si necesitas ayuda para descargar la imagen, probablemente debas conseguir mas soltura con el ingles, o con los conceptos que se manejan por aqui, antes de aventurarte con Arch.... o quizá no.
