At Electronic Arts' "Swing Into Spring" event yesterday, Crysis 2 Executive Producer Nathan Camarillo spoke with PSU about a potential PS3 demo and post-launch downloadable content for Crytek's upcoming first-person shooter.
Though he couldn't outright confirm a demo for Sony's black box, Camarillo said that PlayStation gamers "can probably hope for one."
"We want as many people to play Crysis 2 as possible," said Camarillo, smiling coyly. "I can't say anything too specific ... we haven't announced [the demo] yet."
On the subject of Crysis 2 downloadable content, Camarillo was slightly more forthcoming.
"You can imagine we will [support Crysis 2 with downloadable content]," he said. "It's a big game and there's a lot of fun to be had, so you can imagine we're doing some [DLC], but I can't say specifically what it is yet."
Earlier in the interview, Camarillo assured me there would be zero disparities between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
"People can try to find them (disparities), but they won't find anything," said Camarillo. "They both run great, they both play great whether you're playing single-player or multiplayer — they're identical offerings. The quality is outstanding on both of them; there's really no difference."
