The version corresponding to the physical cartridge is the original v1.0.0 one, as it lacks all the changes, updates, corrections and improvements introduced by v1.0.1 update. I’ve noticed it clearly, given that I also have the digital v1.0.1.
To make it clear, here is a list of such differences:
* Changes introduced by v.1.0.1 version, officially announced:
(
https://nintendoeverything.com/earth-at ... ion-1-0-1/)
– Drop the sub-weapon that you had equipped before you got defeated right at your restart point.
– Item boxes spawn much closer to the restart point and player’s location.
– Increased drop rates of items and sub-weapons.
– Increased the player’s ship speed.
– Reduced the difficulty of some boss monsters, especially on Easy Mode.
– Minor bugs fixed.
– A new game icon.
(None of them are on the cartridge v1.0.0 version.)
* Other changes introduced by v.1.0.1:
(Noticed by me on my own.)
– Faster initial game loading.
– More stable framerate, less lagging.
– Corrected error of interchanged ON/OFF on Options – Frame, in some languages (Spanish, French, etc.). On cartridge v1.0.0, OFF enables the frame and ON disables it (in Spanish, French, etc., though in English it is OK).
– When our submarine reaches the surface, water splashes. This does not occur on cartridge v1.0.0.
– Absent ‘Made by Unity’ logo at game starting. Present on cartridge v1.0.0.
It’d be OK if we could update the cartridge version to v1.0.1, but the problem is that it doesn’t allow it, maybe due to the fact you mentioned that the v1.0.0 version is not accepted by Nintendo on the eShop. Any possibility to make it possible, please?
Thank you very much for your attention.
Best,
