Ese dilema tengo :p esperaré de todas formas a ver opiniones, pero pf, no sé cual de los tres me gusta más...

Justo todo lo contrario a lo que hago yo, que últimamente sólo descargo lo que voy a usar, e incluso los circuitos voy descargando el que toca cada semana, ;)

Esperando impresiones. Como pronto el miércoles decidiré si compro alguno de los GT3 (Mercedes).

Bueno por lo que veo en los foros de iRacing, ayer pusieron un rato para probar el nuevo modo Test ese. Y la gente bastante contenta en general.
Hay bastante gente diciendo que después de probar ciertos coches quiere comprarlos o va a comprarlos o los ha comprado ya.
A ver si ponen de manera definitiva esto de poder probar los coches antes de comprarlos. Bueno aunque sólo sea en estos periodos de mantenimiento no está mal, por algo hay que empezar. Pero que lo hagan de manera más fácil no tener que hacer todo el lío ese de registrarse o apuntarse o lo que sea.

Para esta temporada he hecho calculos y correré skip barber y gt3.. despues de tontear con el cadillac y al haberme dicho ustedes que los gt3 son menos complicados que wl cadillac me he decidido por esta serie.
Creo que pillare el Audi.. a falta de las impresiones finales de la gente. Dejare dos o tres dias desde que empiece la temporada para decidirlo.
Y además cogere 5 circuitos mas para completar y asi poder correr hasta 3 series si kisiera cadillac skippy y gt3 pero me centrare mas en estas dos ultimas.. tb picoteare con el nuevo mx5.
A todo esto viendo el desembolso que debo hacer 6 en total q supondran unos 75 euros.. creeis que tardaran en sacar el 75x100? Me espero? O tardaran en sacarlo?.
El 100x75 suele salir 2 veces al año, en periodos que la gente suele comprar menos. Yo pienso que lo sacaran antes del S3, entre Abril y Mayo, pero sólo es mi hipótesis, nadie lo puede saber con certeza. Si puedes tener paciencia es lo mejor.
Yo pillare un gt3 tambien para echar alguna carrera, me gusta esa categoria por su alta participacion y tener que parar en boxes, de paso cubro tambien las semanas que tengo vacias sin necesidad de pillar mas circuitos.

Seguramente tire por el Mercedes, por eso de que es mas estable que el Audi, cuando uno tiene que aprender creo que es mejor ir mas seguro que mas rapido.

Me imagino que la gente lo comenta por las caracteristicas del coche o detalles que hayan comentado en foro/video, yo como no entiendo ingles el foro solo lo piso cuando busco algun setup y de los videos ya ni hablar, no entiendo nada de lo que dicen jajaja

Pues si, hubo gente que pudo probar coches que no posee durante las pruebas del portal de Testing, me equivoqué . Si es así hasta no me importará que se esté varias horas más de mantenimiento, porque hasta que no llegue a casa por la tarde no podré acceder y me gustaría probar coches que no tengo, es genial que se puedan probar al menos un poquito.

Por otro lado yo aunque este en alpha, a no ser que vaya muy mal, desde hoy meteré el DX11, a ver si dan opción en Test de elegir hora del día, porque en los tercer de los coches nuevos se ha podido observar momentos diferentes de iluminación.

Despues de pasar por pcars i assetto, me gustaria introducirme en iracing. Veo que es posible hace el pago mensual, trimestral, anual,... Pero lo que no tengo claro es a lo que se puede acceder con ese precio base. Hay algun sitio donde pueda ver el precio de los circuitos y los coches que no van en el "paqueta base"??? Aunque no tenga categoria para correr con coches mas potentes, ¿es posible comprarlos y jugar offline con ellos?

Vamos por partes, lo recomendable siempre es que lo pruebes y te familiarices, ya que al ser un sistema de licencias y online completamente tienes muchas cosas que aprender, hay tantas cosas que ni con años a veces lo sabes todo. Por ello lo mejor es 1 o 3 meses de prueba con alguna de las promociones que salen habitualmente.

El paquete base lo puedes consultar en la propia web de iracing, al principio como rookie solo podrás participar en carreras con 3 o 4 coches distintos tanto en Oval como Road, depende lo que te guste más.

Podrás comprar otro contenido, los circuitos suelen costar 15$ y los coches 12$, pero hay descuentos por agrupar compras, o usar los que entran en el paquete básico, pero sin poder correr en otras licencias que no sean rookie hasta que no obtengas la licencia D. Esto puede ser rápido si corres bastante en rookie y no tienes incidentes.

Offline no se puede usar, siempre online, aunque como te he dicho puedes probar cualquier contenido que poseas en Test, donde estarás solo en el circuito, pero conectado a la web de iracing. Y a partir de hoy si la web está de mantenimiento dejan probar otros coches si los tienes descargados aunque no los hayas comprado, pero sólo en periodo de mantenimiento de la web.

Aparte de lo que te ha dicho @patufet.
Con el código PR-IMSA2015, tienes 3 meses por 5$. Si quieres sólo probarlo puede ser lo mejor. Si ya sabes que te vas a quedar pues casi mejor lo de 1 año por 49$.

Si coges 3 meses (por el método que sea) hazlo durante esta semana o principios de la siguiente, así puedes jugar una "Season" (Temporada) Completa, ya que empieza el martes de la semana que viene. Así aprendes lo que es iRacing.
Y si coges esos 3 meses, yo no compraría nada ese periodo. ¿Por qué? Pues porque como luego quieras renovar esa cuenta te valdría 99$ el año. Si durante esos 3 meses sale oferta de renovación por 49$ si renovaría, claro está.
Yo lo que haría es, después de esos 3 meses, si quisiera continuar, pues abrir otra cuenta nueva, con el descuento del 50% (49.50$) por un año. En esa ya si compraría. Además podrías renovar cada año en el Black Friday (finales de noviembre).

Ah, un par de cosas.
En Test estás tu solo, sin nadie más. En ese modo como te dicen, puedes usar cualquier contenido que tengas, ya tengas la licencia para usarlo en series oficiales o no.

Y creo que en las Open Practice también puedes entrar sin tener la licencia. Pero mejor si lo confirma alguien.

En campeonatos privados también podrás usar cualquier contenido que tengas comprado, sin importar la licencia que tengas. A no ser que dicho campeonato privado ponga normas para ello, claro está.

otra cosa, para un futuro.....por ejemplo, para cuando me pille el skip barber, mi duda es en los circuitos, aunque cambie de circuito cada season, suelen ser los mismos, es decir, ¿ puede tocar cualquier circuito en una serie, o hay alguno fijo o habitual? por que claro, pillarte 4 o 5 circuitos para usarlos en una temporada y a la siguiente no, pues es un rollo....ya sé que los tienes para siempre, pero gastarte la pasta cada season....pues....... cuesta. :(

Los circuitos van alternando y suelen estar como 3-4 sesiones seguidas como mucho. Puedes comprar un circuito y que lo quiten a la sesión siguiente porque ya lleve varias, o comprarle y que te dure 3 sesiones. Después de un tiempo volverían de nuevo y durarían otra vez 3 sesiones. No se si me explico.

Hay un calendario de rotación de circuitos, para el Skip aplica y lo que hace allí la comunidad con la gente de iRacing es decidir qué circuitos rotan y definir que un mínimo se mantenga un par de temporadas seguidas.

De todas formas es verdad que los foros están en inglés pero veo que poca gente se mete a investigar nada y el 99% de las cosas están comentadas siempre allí, problemas, novedades, desarrollos, setups, decisiones de competición etc. Por ejemplo el hilo de la rotación de circuitos es el primero del foro de skip barber porque está "sticky" http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts ... 33070.page

Y nada más entrar ya se ve lo que se corre hasta la S2 de 2016. Supongo que en el hilo de debajo de schedule o en este se decidirá dentro de un tiempo lo que se corre en las siguientes seasons.

A ver que tal la nueva release y las pruebas de los nuevos carros, yo al final he pre-comprado los 3, no estoy seguro si los usaré o no en la próxima season, pero el consumismo es lo que tiene, jajaja, al menos ya tengo el descuento del 25% a todo lo que compres que la verdad es que se nota...

En otro orden de cosas, ayer quise correr una última carrera para despedir mi primera temporada en GT1 (segunda completa en iRacing tras una que hice con el Caddy) y bueno... peor no me pudo ir, un capullo franchute me dio un toque y me hizo perder el coche con la mala suerte que el que venía detrás me embistió y se acabo la carrera (10 minutos de reparaciones), él pudo continuar y acabó segundo (que era mi posición de salida), luego ni se dignó a pedir perdón, en fin, estaba tan enfadado que estuve a punto de salir a pista de nuevo (una vez completadas las reparaciones) solo para llevármelo por delante y joderle la carrera también a él, menos mal que recapacité y no lo hice, pero ganas no me faltaron y desde luego le tengo bien fichado...

En fin, ha sido una temporada con muchos altibajos pero donde he aprendido un montón y sobre todo lo he pasado en grande, llegar a dominar o al menos poder ser regular con una bestia como el Corvette C6R no es fácil, al menos no para alguien sin apenas experiencia en las carreras como yo, así que eso que me llevo.

Ahora toca probar y reflexionar esta semana para ver que corro durante la S2 de 2016.

Con la de info que hay en los foros oficiales es un poco desalentador ver las mismas preguntas una y otra y otra vez.
Bueno pues creo que he cometido un fallo y no podré probar el audi ni el formula reanult durante el mantenimiento, porque no sabia que hacia falta descargar todo el contenido antes del mantenimiento para poder probarlos en el testdrive. [facepalm] Y solo tenía descargado un par de circuitos y un par de coches, solo lo que estaba usando semana por semana.

Creo que esto es así porque no me da la opción de descargar nada en la pagina del testdrive...

A esperar a que termine el mantenimiento!!

Welcome to 2016 Season 2!

This release features a whopping FOUR new vehicles: Audi R8 LMS GT3, Formula Renault 2.0, Mercedes-AMG GT3, and Mazda MX-5 Cup. Try them all and find out which one is going to be your favorite!

With this release we are also launching a few brand new systems to further enhance your sim racing experience. We have added a DirectX 11 mode for the Sim to streamline the rendering process and reduce the CPU bottleneck inherent in our complex scenes. The Dynamic Tire Debris Accumulation system will actually show you in real-time what's sticking to your tires based on our physics calculations and the Dynamic Track. We have also expanded our horizons, literally, and are proud to introduce the Time of Day feature including both Morning and Late Afternoon as options on all tracks and race modes. We have enhanced our Netcode with an option for greater bandwidth, allowing more information to pass between you and our servers. A new easy-to-use video capture tool has also been rolled directly into the Sim with this release. Also, our vehicle audio, including engine sounds, tires, gear shifting, and much more has been made even more realistic with this release. All of these systems help to enhance our realism and raise the bar on what you can expect from the quality of your favorite racing simulator.

Website

- Added the ability to select the time of day to drive in Test Mode and Hosted Mode. Results will also now show the time of day for the session.

- All pages that reach into the backend for stats are sped up significantly.

- The My Series Results page has been rewritten and optimized; it should be much more responsive now!

- Hosted Sessions should now remember the correct league selections when editing.

- The modal window that appears when you receive a gift is now sizing and building correctly.

- The Replays page now features a message explaining how it works.

- The All Teams page now requires you to search before displaying any results, which should expedite loading of the page. You must search with a minimum of 4 characters.

- The Team Series Stats page will now only display Official Series.

- Fixed places where Open Practices appear available as a joinable link, but should not be due to license restrictions.

- In the Team Registration modal window, Autofill will no longer input your email address as your team name.

Billing

Updater

- The iRacing Updater will now ensure that it has updated itself before checking and/or installing MSVC, DirectX, EAC, and D3DGear. This could have caused the self-update process to time out and not complete the update for some people.


Paint Kit

- Virtual Racing School sponsor added.

- iRacing logos have been updated to a newer version.

- The Inside Sim Racing sponsor has been updated.


Simulation

- Substantially reduced the time required for the simulator to exit.

- If a race server rejects your attempt to connect to it, it will now provide a more helpful message explaining why, instead of a generic messages about your connection being closed.


Race Control

- Fixed a bug where racers would only be allowed up to 8 minutes to finish their lap after the leader finishes a race. This should enable racers to complete their final lap on tracks with longer configs.

- Fixed an issue where sometimes incident limits were being reported in sessions which did not actually have incident limits.


Dynamic Track

- Marble creation rate has been roughly doubled.

- Fixed an issue where marbles were getting cleared from oval tracks during cautions even when the "Automatically clean marbles" option was disabled.


Netcode

- Two new Connection Type selections are now available on the main Account->My Account page, under Preferences. These selections allow higher network bandwidth usage between the simulation and the race servers. Mostly, this allows the server to send more detailed data for each opponent car and/or more opponent cars to the simulation. If your computer, graphics card, and Internet connection are all fast enough, and you select one of these new options, you’ll likely also want to adjust the in-sim Options->Graphics “Max Cars” setting to take advantage of the extra allowed bandwidth usage.


Garage

- Initial temperatures of wheels and tires have been improved, especially for cars with tire warmers. Previously, the entire wheel and tire was heated to the tire warmer temperature; now only the tire surface is heated to the specified temperature, while the wheel is more appropriately closer to the ambient temperature. This may produce a subtle change in ride height in the garage, so cars with tire warmers may need an adjustment to pass Tech if they were close to the limit on ride height.


Rendering

- The "Two-Pass Trees" rendering option is now functional on ALL tracks.


DirectX 9

- Added a new option to the "renderer.ini" file named, “ReduceCockpitFlicker,” which is enabled by default. This option reduces the z-fighting and flickering between objects that can sometimes be seen in vehicle cockpits while racing at very large tracks.

- Fixed an issue with the rendering of fog over the Dynamic Track, which occurred when rendering the Dynamic Track as a separate pass via the setting in the “renderer.ini” file.

- The flare intensity of headlights has been reduced during the daytime.

- Fixed several issues with physically based rendering at night tracks.

- Fixed an issue with shadow maps that caused some of them to periodically render using incorrect texture sampling.


DirectX 11

- A preliminary “beta” version of a DirectX 11 based version of the Simulator is now available for testing and is provided via two additional executables, a 32-bit version named “iracingSimDX11.exe,” and a 64-bit version named “iRacingSim64DX11.exe.” You may select to use either the DirectX 9 or DirectX 11 version, as well as choose between the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the Simulator using the “Settings” page of the member site. We recommend using the 64-bit version if possible.

- The Graphics Options settings for the DirectX 11 version are stored separately from those for the DirectX 9 version; they can be found in the “rendererDX11.ini” file. This file will be created automatically after launching the DirectX 11 version of the simulator for the first time, which will also initiate the auto-configuration process.

- The configuration options for the DirectX 11 versions, including the resolution and refresh rate as selected during the auto-configuration, are stored in a new section of “app.ini” file named, “[Graphics DX11].”

- Please note that when setting up any application overrides in your GPU’s device driver’s settings to take care to set them for the correct executable name(s).


PopcornFX

- The color of debris and dust is now tinted based upon the surface from which it was gathered.

- Increased the accuracy of the tire widths for debris related positional effects.

- Enhanced the accuracy for position and velocity offsets of particles.

- Grass debris particles now have a greater size variation.

- Dust particle velocity has been improved.

- Fixed an issue with smoke being lit incorrectly at night.


Audio

- New tire roll, scrub, and skid sounds have been added.

- Updated all vehicle shift sounds and tuned volume levels.

- Engine sounds will transition smoother between loads and throttle changes.

- All vehicles now make gear shifting sounds that are audible both inside and outside of a vehicle.

- Tires will now make sound when spinning while the car is stationary.

- Updated the audio frequency of rumble strip and curb sound effects.

- Fixed an issue where the sound buffer was not getting properly cleared while the Sim was shutting down, sometimes causing an annoying looping noise.


Opponent Cars

- Smoke and debris generated by opponent vehicles can now be seen.

- Opponent vehicles now show wheelspin and lockup, and skids and smoke from these actions are more realistic.

- Fixed a bug that was causing distant opponent cars to appear to have minor systems malfunctions; such as the DRS wing twitching, or pit limiter lights blinking.


Dynamic Tire Debris Accumulation

- Tires on all vehicles now visually show the accumulation and dispersal of debris. This includes materials such as grass, gravel, rubber marbles, dust, and sand. These materials are picked up when driven over based on the surface type, grip, and speed of the vehicle, and then they are removed over time by the same factors. The physics model for this activity has already been running since last season's update, so there is no change to driving characteristics, but now you can see the effects!


Vehicle Headlights

- We have added the ability for some of our cars to flash their headlights. Sports cars use this ability to notify a driver in front of them that they are about to attempt a pass. Mapping the function to a button will allow the headlights to flash on and off several times each key press. The cars that have been updated to utilize this new ability include:
- - Aston Martin DBR9 GT1
- - Audi R8 LMS GT3
- - BMW Z4 GT3
- - Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT1
- - Chevrolet Corvette C7 Daytona Prototype
- - Ford GT GT3
- - HPD ARX-01c

- - Riley MkXX Daytona Prototype
- - Ruf RT 12R C-Spec
- - Ruf RT 12R Track


Time of Day

- When creating a race you are now able to set a Time of Day parameter which includes two additional options beyond the traditional Afternoon and Night; Morning and Late Afternoon. Both new selections adjust the position of the sun in the sky, and affect the race just as this would in real life. This feature is available for all tracks and in all session modes.


Pit

- Lollipop Guy has received an animation overhaul, and will appear much more realistic!


Video Capture

- A new video capture system has been added to the Sim based on the D3DGear capture engine. By default, the hotkey "Ctrl-Alt-Shift-V" will toggle video capture on and off. Video is saved to the [documents]\iRacing\videos\ folder.

- By default video is captured at 720p and 30 fps using the WMV video container. You can change the default video quality and format by editing the [Video] section of the "app.ini" file.

- Unfortunately, the Windows 8 and Windows 10 Metro Player cannot load video for Windows codecs, so the video captured by this tool will need to be played in Windows Media Player or a third party video player.

- Windows Media Player (WMP) cannot handle the AVI2 (OpenML) file format. This format allows AVI files to grow beyond the 2 GB file limit. You will need to use a third party player such as Video LAN Player (VLC) or MPC-HC.

- A new screen capture system has also been added along with the video capture feature. By default, hitting "Ctrl-Alt-Shift-S" will save a screenshot of the sim to [documents]\iRacing\screenshots\ folder.

- Due to a limitation of our control handling code we cannot trigger a screenshot or toggle video capture when a dialog is opened. This effectively makes it impossible to take a screenshot of the garage or settings dialogs. However, you can get around this limitation by starting to capture video before you enter the Garage or other options screens and then stopping the video capture once you exit that screen. - You can disable the loading of our video capture module by setting "videoCaptureEnabled=0" under the [Video] section in the "app.ini" file.


Replay

- Fixed an issue where opponent vehicle wheels would appear to rotate incorrectly when viewing replays frame-by-frame, or rewinding.


Macros

- Text chat macro speed is no longer limited when applying a pit or admin command. Now users can use "#fuel +1g$" to increment fuel in their tank without waiting a second between button presses!


Telemetry

- Legacy telemetry (NR2003 Telemetry) is now disabled by default. It can be turned on again in the "app.ini" file by adjusting the "enableLegacyTelemetry=1" option. This interface is deprecated and will be removed from the sim next season.

- Session times are now reported with 4 decimals of precision.

- Examples have been updated.

- Fixed an issue with iOS where the UI would zoom when the app was rotated to landscape.

- ARX can now handle automatic unit conversions using either a string type or an offset/scalar pair.

In contrast to its all-wheel drive road going version, the R8 LMS GT3 is built by Audi Sport and quattro GmbH to comply with the rear wheel drive only GT3 regulations. However, the superb balance and impressive power to weight ratio of the R8 LMS GT3 have made it a winner in virtually every series in which it's competed.

This replacement takes approximately 2.5 minutes (they also have to swap the radiator and other mechanical parts), but does not show up as a repair countdown timer in the UI, so be patient if the stop appears to be delaying and you'll get a shiny new nose soon enough. This should help with the errant black flags for damage that this car is known to generate.

En otro orden de cosas, ayer quise correr una última carrera para despedir mi primera temporada en GT1 (segunda completa en iRacing tras una que hice con el Caddy) y bueno... peor no me pudo ir, un capullo franchute me dio un toque y me hizo perder el coche con la mala suerte que el que venía detrás me embistió y se acabo la carrera (10 minutos de reparaciones), él pudo continuar y acabó segundo (que era mi posición de salida), luego ni se dignó a pedir perdón, en fin, estaba tan enfadado que estuve a punto de salir a pista de nuevo (una vez completadas las reparaciones) solo para llevármelo por delante y joderle la carrera también a él, menos mal que recapacité y no lo hice, pero ganas no me faltaron y desde luego le tengo bien fichado...

En fin, ha sido una temporada con muchos altibajos pero donde he aprendido un montón y sobre todo lo he pasado en grande, llegar a dominar o al menos poder ser regular con una bestia como el Corvette C6R no es fácil, al menos no para alguien sin apenas experiencia en las carreras como yo, así que eso que me llevo.

Ahora toca probar y reflexionar esta semana para ver que corro durante la S2 de 2016.

Welcome to 2016 Season 2!

This release features a whopping FOUR new vehicles: Audi R8 LMS GT3, Formula Renault 2.0, Mercedes-AMG GT3, and Mazda MX-5 Cup. Try them all and find out which one is going to be your favorite!

With this release we are also launching a few brand new systems to further enhance your sim racing experience. We have added a DirectX 11 mode for the Sim to streamline the rendering process and reduce the CPU bottleneck inherent in our complex scenes. The Dynamic Tire Debris Accumulation system will actually show you in real-time what's sticking to your tires based on our physics calculations and the Dynamic Track. We have also expanded our horizons, literally, and are proud to introduce the Time of Day feature including both Morning and Late Afternoon as options on all tracks and race modes. We have enhanced our Netcode with an option for greater bandwidth, allowing more information to pass between you and our servers. A new easy-to-use video capture tool has also been rolled directly into the Sim with this release. Also, our vehicle audio, including engine sounds, tires, gear shifting, and much more has been made even more realistic with this release. All of these systems help to enhance our realism and raise the bar on what you can expect from the quality of your favorite racing simulator.

- The iRacing Updater will now ensure that it has updated itself before checking and/or installing MSVC, DirectX, EAC, and D3DGear. This could have caused the self-update process to time out and not complete the update for some people.

Simulation

- Substantially reduced the time required for the simulator to exit.

- If a race server rejects your attempt to connect to it, it will now provide a more helpful message explaining why, instead of a generic messages about your connection being closed.


Race Control

- Fixed a bug where racers would only be allowed up to 8 minutes to finish their lap after the leader finishes a race. This should enable racers to complete their final lap on tracks with longer configs.

- Fixed an issue where sometimes incident limits were being reported in sessions which did not actually have incident limits.


Dynamic Track

- Marble creation rate has been roughly doubled.

- Fixed an issue where marbles were getting cleared from oval tracks during cautions even when the "Automatically clean marbles" option was disabled.


Netcode

- Two new Connection Type selections are now available on the main Account->My Account page, under Preferences. These selections allow higher network bandwidth usage between the simulation and the race servers. Mostly, this allows the server to send more detailed data for each opponent car and/or more opponent cars to the simulation. If your computer, graphics card, and Internet connection are all fast enough, and you select one of these new options, you’ll likely also want to adjust the in-sim Options->Graphics “Max Cars” setting to take advantage of the extra allowed bandwidth usage.


Garage

- Initial temperatures of wheels and tires have been improved, especially for cars with tire warmers. Previously, the entire wheel and tire was heated to the tire warmer temperature; now only the tire surface is heated to the specified temperature, while the wheel is more appropriately closer to the ambient temperature. This may produce a subtle change in ride height in the garage, so cars with tire warmers may need an adjustment to pass Tech if they were close to the limit on ride height.


Rendering

- The "Two-Pass Trees" rendering option is now functional on ALL tracks.


DirectX 9

- Added a new option to the "renderer.ini" file named, “ReduceCockpitFlicker,” which is enabled by default. This option reduces the z-fighting and flickering between objects that can sometimes be seen in vehicle cockpits while racing at very large tracks.

- Fixed an issue with the rendering of fog over the Dynamic Track, which occurred when rendering the Dynamic Track as a separate pass via the setting in the “renderer.ini” file.

- The flare intensity of headlights has been reduced during the daytime.

- Fixed several issues with physically based rendering at night tracks.

- Fixed an issue with shadow maps that caused some of them to periodically render using incorrect texture sampling.


DirectX 11

- A preliminary “beta” version of a DirectX 11 based version of the Simulator is now available for testing and is provided via two additional executables, a 32-bit version named “iracingSimDX11.exe,” and a 64-bit version named “iRacingSim64DX11.exe.” You may select to use either the DirectX 9 or DirectX 11 version, as well as choose between the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the Simulator using the “Settings” page of the member site. We recommend using the 64-bit version if possible.

- The Graphics Options settings for the DirectX 11 version are stored separately from those for the DirectX 9 version; they can be found in the “rendererDX11.ini” file. This file will be created automatically after launching the DirectX 11 version of the simulator for the first time, which will also initiate the auto-configuration process.

- The configuration options for the DirectX 11 versions, including the resolution and refresh rate as selected during the auto-configuration, are stored in a new section of “app.ini” file named, “[Graphics DX11].”

- Please note that when setting up any application overrides in your GPU’s device driver’s settings to take care to set them for the correct executable name(s).


PopcornFX

- The color of debris and dust is now tinted based upon the surface from which it was gathered.

- Increased the accuracy of the tire widths for debris related positional effects.

- Enhanced the accuracy for position and velocity offsets of particles.

- Grass debris particles now have a greater size variation.

- Dust particle velocity has been improved.

- Fixed an issue with smoke being lit incorrectly at night.


Audio

- New tire roll, scrub, and skid sounds have been added.

- Updated all vehicle shift sounds and tuned volume levels.

- Engine sounds will transition smoother between loads and throttle changes.

- All vehicles now make gear shifting sounds that are audible both inside and outside of a vehicle.

- Tires will now make sound when spinning while the car is stationary.

- Updated the audio frequency of rumble strip and curb sound effects.

- Fixed an issue where the sound buffer was not getting properly cleared while the Sim was shutting down, sometimes causing an annoying looping noise.


Opponent Cars

- Smoke and debris generated by opponent vehicles can now be seen.

- Opponent vehicles now show wheelspin and lockup, and skids and smoke from these actions are more realistic.

- Fixed a bug that was causing distant opponent cars to appear to have minor systems malfunctions; such as the DRS wing twitching, or pit limiter lights blinking.


Dynamic Tire Debris Accumulation

- Tires on all vehicles now visually show the accumulation and dispersal of debris. This includes materials such as grass, gravel, rubber marbles, dust, and sand. These materials are picked up when driven over based on the surface type, grip, and speed of the vehicle, and then they are removed over time by the same factors. The physics model for this activity has already been running since last season's update, so there is no change to driving characteristics, but now you can see the effects!


Vehicle Headlights

- We have added the ability for some of our cars to flash their headlights. Sports cars use this ability to notify a driver in front of them that they are about to attempt a pass. Mapping the function to a button will allow the headlights to flash on and off several times each key press. The cars that have been updated to utilize this new ability include:

Time of Day

- When creating a race you are now able to set a Time of Day parameter which includes two additional options beyond the traditional Afternoon and Night; Morning and Late Afternoon. Both new selections adjust the position of the sun in the sky, and affect the race just as this would in real life. This feature is available for all tracks and in all session modes.


Pit

- Lollipop Guy has received an animation overhaul, and will appear much more realistic!


Video Capture

- A new video capture system has been added to the Sim based on the D3DGear capture engine. By default, the hotkey "Ctrl-Alt-Shift-V" will toggle video capture on and off. Video is saved to the [documents]\iRacing\videos\ folder.

- By default video is captured at 720p and 30 fps using the WMV video container. You can change the default video quality and format by editing the [Video] section of the "app.ini" file.

- Unfortunately, the Windows 8 and Windows 10 Metro Player cannot load video for Windows codecs, so the video captured by this tool will need to be played in Windows Media Player or a third party video player.

- Windows Media Player (WMP) cannot handle the AVI2 (OpenML) file format. This format allows AVI files to grow beyond the 2 GB file limit. You will need to use a third party player such as Video LAN Player (VLC) or MPC-HC.

- A new screen capture system has also been added along with the video capture feature. By default, hitting "Ctrl-Alt-Shift-S" will save a screenshot of the sim to [documents]\iRacing\screenshots\ folder.

- Due to a limitation of our control handling code we cannot trigger a screenshot or toggle video capture when a dialog is opened. This effectively makes it impossible to take a screenshot of the garage or settings dialogs. However, you can get around this limitation by starting to capture video before you enter the Garage or other options screens and then stopping the video capture once you exit that screen. We are looking into ways to work around this limitation.

- You can disable the loading of our video capture module by setting "videoCaptureEnabled=0" under the [Video] section in the "app.ini" file.


Replay

- Fixed an issue where opponent vehicle wheels would appear to rotate incorrectly when viewing replays frame-by-frame, or rewinding.


Macros

- Text chat macro speed is no longer limited when applying a pit or admin command. Now users can use "#fuel +1g$" to increment fuel in their tank without waiting a second between button presses!


Telemetry

- Legacy telemetry (NR2003 Telemetry) is now disabled by default. It can be turned on again in the "app.ini" file by adjusting the "enableLegacyTelemetry=1" option. This interface is deprecated and will be removed from the sim next season.

- Session times are now reported with 4 decimals of precision.


ARX

- Examples have been updated.

- Fixed an issue with iOS where the UI would zoom when the app was rotated to landscape.

- ARX can now handle automatic unit conversions using either a string type or an offset/scalar pair.

- ARX data transmissions are now limited to 10 times per second to prevent overload.

In contrast to its all-wheel drive road going version, the R8 LMS GT3 is built by Audi Sport and quattro GmbH to comply with the rear wheel drive only GT3 regulations. However, the superb balance and impressive power to weight ratio of the R8 LMS GT3 have made it a winner in virtually every series in which it's competed.

This should help with the errant black flags for damage that this car is known to generate.

Si, pero no habrá ninguna serie oficial con ese coche. Las series oficiales serán con el Mazda MX-5 Cup 2016.

Gracias por la release notes @behoram Otra build cargada de contenido que toca todos los ámbitos del simulador, esperemos que no de mucho problema el tema servers y podamos probar todo bien; aunque alguna caída esta semana seguro que hay.

@rcobain Los Mazda 2015 no los van a quitar igual que nunca han quitado un coche de iRacing, se quedan para que los uses en hosted y en test. Además por el momento los siguen actualizando todos, aunque ya dijo Tony Gardner en la entrevista de ISR que en algún momento tendrán que dejarlos ya sin actualizar más.

Muchas gracias me parecía que era algo así. Entonces en la production car challenge voy a poder jugar con el Mazda ahora, que antes no lo usaba porque no me gustaba el volante a la derecha...

Pense que seria mas complicado adaptarse al formula renault, se conduce bastante comodo, hay que tener tacto para que no se vaya del culo y ya, al menos esa es la primera sensacion que me da.

Luego probe el Audi y el Mercedes, no di muchas vueltas ya que solo queria catarlos, empeze por el Audi y me gusto bastante, pero cuando probe el Mercedes me hizo olvidarme de él, muuuuuuuuuuuy guapo, y el sonido te enamora.

Ya ha vuelto del mantenimiento!
Los nuevos gt3 me han gustado mucho, el fr 2.0 me ha parecido la hostia de divertido y el nuevo mx5 una maravilla, me esta dejando verdaderamente impresionado, tenia planes de correr unicamente la blancpain pero seguro segurisimo que hago alguna de la mazda y del f renault
Audi R8 muy rapido, frena un montón, mucho subviraje y muuuuuy soso, más que el Z4
Mercedes GT3 me ha encantado, es como si lo hubiera llevado mucho tiempo porque me he adaptado desde la primera vuelta, fantástico
He probado el McLaren GT3 que no lo tenía, está muy bien aunque fui bastante lento.
Renault FR2.0 pues muy similar al Star Mazda pero con otro manejo distinto, se nota menor potencia, a mi no me llama.

He entrado a probar DX11 a ultima hora de la tarde y he visto como en las primeras 2 vueltas cogian las gomas temperatura y el grip llegaba en la tercera vuelta, es algo nuevo y que esta bien. Los sonidos también han mejorado y aumentado
Bueno pues dejo yo tambien mi opinion que no puede ser mejor. Antes me iba tan mal (para el equipo que tengo) que ahora estoy super contento despues de que hace 2 o 3 builds empezara a ir en decadencia. Vuelvo a tener todo a tope, todas las opciones activadas render track, retrivisores etc. Como a mi me gusta vaya y capao a 84 fijos sin moverse. De momento 0 bugs y todo muy fino.

Respecto al mazda, lo primero decir que cualquier parecido con el anterior es pura coincidencia, como coche escuela ahora es muy complicado, pero a la vez es divertidisimo anda mas frena mas cambia mejor y a la que descuides pierde el culo, una gozada vaya me ha encantado pero como digo nada tiene que ver con el anterior (y yo soy de los que corre la advance).

Por poner una pega en el apartado de rendimiento, me ha parecido que los tiempos de carga ahora son mayores (puede ser sensacion falsa pero juraria que tarda mas).

Por lo demas solo he podido probar el audi y me ha gustado bastante, que iba con mala predisposicion un poco subvirador y pesado como a mi me gustan XD (hablo con baseline y en el mazda igual) pero esperare a opiniones para saber si pillo algun gt3. El renault no he podido probarlo aun pero todos los compis de equipo solo tienen palabras buenas.

Sinceramente espero que no pasen unos dias y tener que venir a retractarme, por otro lo la web no he notado que mejore nada, sigue lenta y sin poder seguir a los amigos, esperemos que ahora que lo demas va bien arreglen esto. Conclusion muy buena build 8,5-9/10

Veo que las carreras en Lime Rock con el Ford si que son oficiales y se gana o pierde IR y SR...eso cómo es? Pensaba que en la semana 13 no se puntuaba...

Por cierto me ha encantado el Ford SPEC, el nuevo Mazda de primeras me ha gustado menos que el viejo...creo que me voy a dejar de gaitas y aunque ya tengo el Ruf y el Skipper, me voy a dedicar esta season que empieza al Ford y al Cadillac. Me han gustado ambos más y como soy novato (llevaré un mes y medio o dos) pues mejor ir poco a poco corriendo categorías de abajo a arriba.
Tenía en mente correr con el Mazda ahora que hay 3 series donde participa de la que me sé muchos circuitos pero cada vez lo veo menos claro, muchos golpes y kamikazes. Las 4 carreras que llevo con el Ford no sé si habrá sido suerte pero la gente ers mucho más limpia. Los doblados se apartan y la gente te da espacio para rodar. Me ha gustado!

He corrido contigo la locura de las 18.45... vaya locuraza de carrera, he acabado cuarto por una hostia que me han arreado, tu tan tranquilo desde casi la vuelta 5. :) En que equipo andas? seguro que no te acuerdas, pero corrimos como equipo unas magnificas 6 horas de watkins hace unas season.
Alguien ha probado el FR 2.0?
